Just curious, why in general do people recommend getting tracks upgrade before engine upgrade?

Tracks are cheaper id rather go 5 percent faster for 5 k xp than spend 50k xp to go 20 percent faster.

In blitz no one recommends tracks first.

In PC you almost always have to upgrade tracks first because of weight load limits on stock suspension.

Because tracks put the power of the engine down to the ground. You can have the top engine but you'll just sit there spinning your wheels. Simple isn't it? Also ground resistance and off road performance is better with top track, numbers you don't really see. That's why the Hellcat has the best ground resistance, even now compared to modern tanks. #TracLivesMatter

Engine regulary increase the horsepower so i can have a higher speed but tracks make acceleration faster

Seems as thought the terrain resistances generally drop when you upgrade the suspension/tracks which allows better use of the stock engine's output ...  It's also usually a lot less than an engine upgrade ...

Depends on the tank and the stat increases. Some need the extra turning. Others gain more from an engine boost. Also, tracks tend to give a aim time decrease.

Sometimes, you just gotta sit back and watch them all burn. Don't forget to bring popcorn. You're going to need a snack.

It depends on the tank, but tracks is generally the last thing I upgrade on my panzers

I told myself from now on every new tank will be fully researched including the next tank in line with a 100% crew. I now have 4 lines researched to tier 7 but only purchased to tier 2-3.

Most of the time I upgrade my engine first so that i can get up hills faster. Tracks are often the last thing I upgrade.

"When choosing to grind a tank, the maneuverability is one of the major stats. I did research and looked up how the game determines acceleration of a tank, HP/ton is not the only ratio WG used to assign acceleration values. To demonstrate i will be using the tier 10 mediums T62a, E50m, and M48 Patton.

1.HP/ton: Main stat WG uses to determine acceleration, the other is terrain resistance. engine power is divided by the weight of the tank. The higher the value the better the speed.

2.Terrain Resistance: This is the tank's suspension performance on different terrain. The lower the value the better the performance. There are 3 terrain resistance values per tank (hard, medium, and soft terrain resistance)

3.Effective HP/ton: This is the effectiveness of horsepower on different ground and terrain, and the acceleration of a tank on flat ground. It is determined by the formula (HP/ton)/terrain resistance. The higher the value the better the acceleration.  ..."
