I've noticed a significant increase in polite conversation to be honest. Whether it's people fearing downvotes or those glad to have chat back, it's definitely an improvement. I think that team communication and cooperation is at an all time high.

Is there a possibility of a chat on/off toggle switch in the settings being developed? Kind of like Supremacy on/off switch.

I personally hear less raging. It still happens but not as often. Also polite conversation seems to have increased. Some if it's fake while other times it's genuine.

It makes some people who spew garbage say nice things at the start of battles to cushion their ratings.  Knowing these players, the "good luck, have fun" messages from certain players are about as genuine as anything produced from a xerox machine.

Is it better than them spewing garbage?  Debatable.

Random spot checks for accuracy. Look at the metrics of X amount of games to see if the votes match the actual game results. If you fine that a player is giving misleading votes, penalize them.

Have single votes not count. Only use instances where multiple votes have been cast to affect the user rating.

Just making sure this isn't overlooked. :)

In regards to MH. The question regarding inactivity (AFK) seems superfluous. It seems to me that Blitz can tell if a tank has not only moved, but actually has participated in the game, based on distance traveled, shots fired (if any), viewing done, etc. The whole question of AFK or inactivity in battle (which are different in my mind) could be determined programmatically, rather than by seeking peoples incorrect opinions.

The question of Provocative Communications could require a screenshot be attached. No evidence, no, vote.

One persons compliment is another persons provocative communication. Way too subjective.

So besides removing it all together, how do we adjust and fix the system?

I say you make any player that did more than 0 damage unable to be downvoted for inactivity, as long as it fired a shot and damaged a enemy.

This has some flaws, and I don't really know how to exactly fix it but still:

>Damage from ramming shouldn't count to this

> Maybe distance traveled could affect this as well?

>If did zero damage but captured a base or anything similar, damage is not required.

> Requirements to be unable to be downvoted for inactivity should be based on tank type as well.

(as a example light/mediums: spotting)

0 damage is not a good criterion. I have been voted inactive because I captured 2 bases in Supremacy and the remainder of the team killed all the enemy before I was able to get engaged. I also have been voted inactive, twice, in a bulldog because I was killed before I could fire a shot.

In the second scenario, your team is basically the same if they had an AFK. If you yoloed in, you deserve that inactive.

That is just over complicating a system.  We cry out every time a layer of complexity is added to the games as "it's supposed to be a simple mobile game".

Here's my main issue, the limited number of votes. I think what people at Wargaming don't realize is how many people out there don't play right. Plenty of times I end up using my 4 votes on Afks or blocking within an hour of playing. Then I have to go the rest of the day without being able to do anything about these people. I think a better metric would be basing feedback after the battle on results in the battle. Say I do 6000 damage in a tier X game, and my team had an AFK, but also another player who helped me by spotting, and the enemy team had a player who finished on 4000 damage and carried really hard. How about for "X" amount of damage done I get 1 rating to use as either positive or negative, on either team. If for Tier X, it is 2000 damage in this case, I can negatively rate the Afk player and still positively rank my ally and opponent for their efforts. Then next game if I get killed after putting in 2 shots, I don't have the right to rate anyone seeing as I myself played badly and I should instead try and better. This way people that troll wont have as much of an impact, because 99% of them can't play well enough to meet the damage requirements.

Also, another addition should be a damage tracker that prevents people giving inactivity votes to players who either killed them or did better than them. Maybe <100 damage at Tier X to account for if an Afk is rammed, or even still base it on shots fired.

why not have it so that only each team can vote for their team members and not the opposite team? Would stop down votes from enemy reds that were killed in battle.

Hi Dogface,

A few good suggestions by other forumers.

1) Top 3 players on the team should be exempt from "inactivity" vote.

2) Disable up voting option from a toon mate and a clan mate. This will cut down on false positives.

Personally I have no problem with the honor system it's all a bit of nothing for me.  I rarely give upvotes or check my standing.  Why?

whats the point I don't get anything from having five stars and I would have to work very hard just to get a 1 hour ban.

Changes.

1) can't give platoon mates upvotes

2) can't give inactive if a player finishes in the top three

3) make there an incentive for having 5 stars, for example u hold 5 stars for a week and u receive a few hours of premium time.  That would be a way to get people to buy into the system

Alright, I think I have the feedback I need to pass off to the dev team.

  1. Increased metrics
  2. Changes to who can upvote/downvote
  3. Look into praises and complaints
  4. Look into inactivity conditions

Missing anything?
