I just realized that the premium Kuro Mori Mine is literally just a more inferior version of the (fully upgraded) ARL 44 (with a few exceptions, of course). See below:

Category ARL 44 Kuro Mori Mine
Rounds/Min 8.41 7.36
Avg. AP Damage/Round 225 220
Avg. AP Penetration 212 mm 145 mm
Hit Points 1000 1100
Speed Limit (kilometers/hour) 37 40
Hull Armor - Front 120 mm 110 mm
Hull Armor - Side & Rear (same) 50 mm 82 mm
Turret Armor - Front 110 mm 100 mm

Turret Armor - Side                                         30 mm         82 mm

Turret Traverse Speed (deg./sec)                  22.95           20.86

As you can probably tell, I highlighted the areas where the Kuro beats the ARL. Basically, aside from the ARL's weak side and rear armor, the areas where the Kuro Mori Mine is stronger are quite minuscule. Whether it is the 100 hit points (50 with equipment), or the 3 kilometers per hour speed difference, this premium tank is really quite worse than a maxed-out ARL 44. Take for example, the ARL 44's gun has basically the same damage as the Kuro Mori Mine, but its reload time is more than one second less, and the ARL's penetration exceeds the Kuro by nearly 70 millimeters! Now that's just pathetic. So figuratively, in a one-on-one, face-to-face matchup, the ARL would certainly beat the PREMIUM Kuro Mori Mine, as it would indefinitely penetrate the Kuro Mori Mine's armor and deal 225 damage. Despite the Kuro doing similar damage and having 100 more hit points, the ARL's better reload time would make up for this, as the ARL would be able to make the game-winning shot faster than the Kuro Mori Mine, despite having just 120 hit points left.

Anyway, this is just a basic summary. Arguably, the Kuro Mori Mine's perks could be more than I weighed them for, but I do not personally believe this. Also, a fully-upgraded ARL 44 is much harder to get than the Kuro Mori Mine in this WICKED EASY event. I hope you guys agree with everything I just mentioned. It took me forever to write this!

Let me guess-you are from the East Coast.

The time you put into the write up was worth it, that was very nicely done.

Wow!  Thanks for taking the time to put this together i was thinking the same thing.  I am not impressed at all with the kuro and the ARL 44 would run circles around her as well.  I have the maxed out ARL 44 it you are right the grind to max is down right brutal but once maxed is a force to be wreckened with as long as u keep the front facing forward.  The kuro is a low grade tiger 1 with less armor and HP.  It looks rock solid on the battlefield but the armor is very deceiving.  She might just free me up a garage slot followed by the anko which also is disappointing at t5.

If I had to pick between the ARL or the Kuro, I'd take the Kuro. It's a Tiger I at tier 6 and while the ARL has advantages, the better overall armor, gun handling and armor layout it self gives advantages that can beat the ARL in a fair fight.

Favorite tanks: E-75, Cromwell, Nashorn, KV-2, SU-152 and the Shinob

Lines currently grinding: AMX 50B, Obj. 268, E50, T110E5, & JagdPanzer E-00

Completed lines: STB-1, E-100

Other than the funny crew voices of the Anko, there really isn't much wrong with any of the GuP tanks, they are usable ...  No need to sell, keep them if you need to platoon with someone in tier 5 or 6.  I will admit the ARL is beter than the KMM at tier 6 for a heavy ...

The Kuro has a more boxy profile and better sides, both of which provide better side-scraping opportunities.

I am now the #1 ranked E75 on the NA server!

They're not worth selling. You'll only get 50,000 each for them.

ARL is better then the Kuro, I had both maxed pre 3.8 and it was pretty obvious.

That side armor difference is huge though. Kuro side scrapes way better. ARL sides get penned way too easy sometimes. And driving the iconic Tiger I against tanks it faced early in the war is great.

Depends on how you play it.Every tank is like that.It goes by your play style.Angle your armor and Kuro will be pretty op with that gun and so will the arl.But I don't think the Kuro has weak cheaks like the arl.Kuro has 10 degrees of gun depression and so does the arl I think, but the Kuro can cphull down better I suppose. It comes down to personal preference,no tank is better than another.
Spoiler

I think ARL Kuro play differently ARL has to hull down only but kuro could do hull down and side scraping too so IMO kuro is more flexible to use

The way I see it, I would never pick a tank that can be one tapped by a KV-2 over one that can.

Yes, you can 1 shot an ARL in a KV-2 with an high explosive shell to the sides or back. Same thing with the BDR. And if the AMX 45 had less hit points, it could be one tapped as well, from the back.

LOL,

Maverick

The only place the ARL exceeds is the pen and RoF on the gun and heavy mobility (which is still poor considering the amount of armour it lacks and comparing to other tier 6 tanks) and frontal armour. Kuro is a mobile enough heavy with excellent all round armour and a decent enough gun. I prefer Kuro as it is such an easy tank to bounce shots all around and get into sidescraping positions quickly. Also, with the Kuro, the armour is boxy and i can almost always tell if an enemy is going to pen me or not depending on the angle they are at. The arl has horrible side and rear armour and its turret is messed up. Shoot at it with 100-200 mm pen and it will go in half the time.

If you like the kuro, try vk36. It's the same tank but smaller. That difference makes the vk good, in my opinion.
