Finally got around to finishing these up. I am missing the 4202, because I couldn't get anyone with one to test!

Spoiler

If you want to know what this means.

spottingRange = effectiveViewRange - (effectiveViewRange - 50) * camoFactor

Spotting Range-Range at which you are spotted.

Effective View Range-View range of the spotter.

Camo factor-a percentage value that determines your concealment. This may not be greater than 1.

OK, nevermind, I found the WOT wiki and it says "camo factor may never exceed 1" and that makes me think the numbers in your list are percentages. . . .  why did I try search the forum? I should have used google in the first place. . .

http://wiki.wargamin...nics#Examples_2

Please clarify. . . .  This math doesn't make sense to me given what I think the values are so I think I must be wrong:

So, let's take the Leo 1 spotting a 140 and plug it in for example. View Range is maybe 280. I don't know what "effective view range is", but I assume it is bigger than 280 due to optics, 100% crew, vents or other modifiers. Nothing would make it smaller except an untrained crew, right? So, assuming we are just at 280:

spottingRange = 280 - (280-50)*16.15 = a negative number which makes no sense.

So, would someone please clarify how this formula is supposed to work?

Camo crew skill? Camo paint? Camo equipment? Tank crew?

I really want this info, but the formula seems a lil incomplete.

>>>canine prints have claw marks, yet "mans best friend" camo does not; it would seem then that mans best friend is a cat... probably a leopard.

Effective view range is the view range of the enemy vehicle. Should be base view range. The rest is the values of your tank.

Also, that value for camp is a percentage. So 16.2 would be .162

Those adjust the camouflage factor, with the exception of crew training. I haven't yet tested to see how they perform.

It's there.

It's effective view range because view range can be adjusted based on crew training, equipment, and module condition.
