Eh my only complaint with WG is the current equipment system. The anime tanks are fine and add a flair of color in this game of iron and smoke. 

 

Also WG isn't catering to the elites of this game, this is now a game of the common man. The sooner you realize this, the better your experience playing this game will be.

I also play Scrabble and Real Racing3.... though I recommend you stay away from RR3 because OMG "they have timers"....and always have had timers from day one.

There's no reason for you to keep playing a game that makes you so unhappy.

Lol, be as it may, I dont think seeing tanks from popular animie shows is 'out of place'. There are alot of people who are acually thrilled to drive a tank from a show. If if all of a sudden we had mario in kart with a cannon on his back, ok. But most of these 'fantasy tanks' are real tanks in different shows. I see where you are are coming from, but keep it in, Wargaming needs to keep this game 'spiced up a bit' so poeple will stay. There will be tanks like 0-47 or what ever or even Angery Conor, and i actually think this adds a bit more fun factor to game. I guess this is just my opinion though.

It isn't that black and white. A player can still enjoy the game while also being disgruntled with the direction it has taken. They can voice their displeasure on the official game forum in the hopes (fleeting that they may be) that a game representative may be paying attention.  The complaints do not need to stop, they need to continue. The longer they last the better the chance is that someone at Wargaming will get the message. 

 

Personally I will continue to voice my displeasure every chance I'm given. I will not spend additional money with Wargaming because they have lost my trust as a consumer. I will continue to play because I still enjoy the game even with the recent changes.

 

If you don't like reading messages from irritated consumers this may not be the best time for you to visit the forum because it's not going to stop anytime soon.

Your complaints are (mostly) relevant and you have good intentions... but good luck actually making a difference.

Communities for and contributers to other products have made a difference ... it took time, but wg has reversed course on some things ...we just need to keep beating the drum louder and longer.

Angry Connor is actually just a paintjob of a real tank that's available on PC, the Archer which itself is another Valentine variant like the bishop (artillery, not in blitz) or the Valentine AT.

The Valkyria Chronicles tanks are for the most part just frankensteined out of bits of other tanks, which is somewhat realistic considering what some nations do to their armored vehicles to keep them relevant.

The GuP tanks are just reskinned tech tree tanks, all of which existed in reality.

The O-47 is a concept done by some artist that WG hired, it actually looks fairy realistic in terms of fake tanks WG's done. (Cough cough... WT-E 100...)

I feel like people call any somewhat unusual-looking new tank they don't like an "anime tank".

Which is weird considering VC was a game first and the O-47 isn't from any outside material.

Right. The Angry Connor is the Archer, a real British TD that even saw service, so it has a place. Valkyria Chronicles was a game, but done completely in anime style. Anime = cartoon. Therefore valkyria tanks = cartoon tanks. GUP tanks are based on real tanks that belonged to real countries so they're fine. The guy that designed the O-47 is actually the creator of Gundam Wing - an anime style cartoon show. He's a famous anime artist and created the tank with his signature anime style. O-47 = anime tank = cartoon tank. Tanks that belong to no nation, that look like they're full of poke balls and commanded by Yu-gi-oh have no place here. They ruin the theme. It's undeniable.

I disagree because most of the 'anime' tanks still have a WWII feel to them. The Halloween tanks and O-47 are the exception but they're few compared to the rest of these tanks. For me they don't ruin the immersion of the game and, intact, add more to the game. Other will agree or disagree but whatever your stance one truth in this is that these tanks are here to stay with more possibly in the way.

Blitz is nowhere near as realistic or serious as Forza Motorsport.

 

Slightly off-topic, but as a huge car nut, I know Forza Horizon, which is more casual than Forza Motorsport but still more realistic than Blitz, recently released a Hot Wheels expansion pack with giant orange plastic tracks and fictional Hot Wheels cars, and it broke the fanbase in half.

 

For the record, I don't really like the fantasy tanks either. Just my $.02.

In that case I would recommend swamping the forum with spare parts threads rather than just making one long thread about multiple things.

 

Find ONE thing you want changed, and complain about it EVERYWHERE. Youtube, Here, Reddit. Heck, why not make a thread in Russian on the Russian server, give the devs something closer to their cold, money-obsessed hearts.

RR3's multi-player environment seems like an after thought, and isn't anywhere near as reliable as WOTB (well, that's as of 6-months ago when I last played). Yes, the timers impact your ability to grind faster through vehicles, but they have a relatively minor impact on your ability to play against others.

What sane game developer looks at that thing and says "this fits perfectly into the environment we worked so hard to create"? It's like there are three different people in charge of this game's content and they never talk to each other.

This is why people are telling you what they are about your lack of time here. You have NO IDEA how many threads there were about the parts issue. It was even brought up in the Den. You realize that we (the forum) dropped the app rating to around one star on the Apple store? There was a HUGE and NASTY thread over a group that trashed a tshirt distributor online for just selling Blitz T-SHIRTS for chrissake. Please. My stats are straight average. Know why? I did what everyone warns new players to NOT do. Rushed to the highest tier as fast as possible. Check out the number of battles I have at tiers 1 - 3. It's ridiculous. You'll notice I don't go seal clubbing. This is why you don't see me often entering discussions about a tank's prowess unless i know the tank VERY well, not because it one-shotted me a few times or something. Because I have a LOT of hours on the field (miniscule compared to others). I do training rooms a LOT. I tell you this. You don't want to match up with me at any tier you currently play. I assure you you'll come out on the losing end, and I am nowhere near unicum levels. Sorry that is the tale your stats tell.

 

I am a MUCH more competitive player today. I didn't get there from Bushka. I didn't get there because of the forums. I got there because after 2k plus battles of being called noob and ten times worse things, I changed my playstyle and became a student of the game. THAT IS EXPERIENCE. You are not qualified to say what is op or not yet. You haven't the foggiest idea at this point what a given tank can do in a truly talented player's hands. If a guy with 20 k battles tells you such and such is op, he probably knows what he's talking about. Bottom line. This forum is unforgiving. It is ESPECIALLY unforgiving when new players come in and post things like what you posted (and I DO appreciate your polite tone, so THANK you). We get them all the time. Fanboys who claim we're all whiners. Know it all noobs who argue tactics with true unicums. This is not new, and you are not the first one to say what you are saying and get (mildly) flamed for it.

 

Trust me, had you posted this in the middle of 3.hategate You're ears would still be blistered over the flaming you'd have gotten.

 

And for the record. I'm a tank geek. My dad drove Centurions in the Sinai and had multiple t54 kills. One of my brothers is on the Abrams. I grew up building tank models instead of dressing up dolls. Even the gup tanks aren't that bad. The Kuro? Yeah. Germany sold japan a couple of tigers. Look it up. Its about as believable the Black Prince. It's fine (and actually date wise is at the right tier unlike the tiger at 7) The kame? The Anko? meh. Both real tanks. Just skinned and renamed. whatever.

And just an fyi to throw out there. Look at the actual pen tests of vehicles at Aberdeen, Sov union, etc.  Any tank is going to be able to pen just about any other tank at ranges of under 200 meters. The game mechanics here are all over the place. WGN had to magnify that with the new equipment system. People that were here prior to that understand the massive change it has wrought on the current game. I uninstalled. I came back because there is no direct competitor and I missed people.

 

All I'm saying is that this is an arcade game with an historical facade slapped on it. If you're taking away the historical aspect with all these goofy tanks, why not add dragons? See what I mean?

 

So. Word to the wise (and not so wise) be very, very careful coming in here and posting about your knowledge and opinions on the state of the game. I'm going to say something that comes across as arrogant, but given my years on the planet I've found is a fairly accurate truth.

Well its a start...

 

Look, I understand that I have a lot to learn...

But in my post, I was discussing psychology, not tanks.

 

But the spare parts obviously haven't been changed. And for a very simple reason. Because it died down. Because they lost NO income and NO players (or at least they came back.) The devs had NO reason to change anything back. In short, if your not willing to make a concerted effort, involving your everyday player, to ACTUALLY change something, you don't have a right to complain.

 

Now back to tanks:

I'm saying that from tier 3-8, heavies are not really op, or even as common as everyone makes them out to be. Maybe thats why I lose so much.... we don't have enough heavies.

 

The only things I've specifically said were not OP were the Dracula and Helsing. I've changed my mind. They are both retarded. Moving on.

 

In terms of historical accuracy, the game is sketchy at best. The reason we don't have dragons yet is because dragons don't count as tanks. You can't damaged the main gun, or kill the commander of a dragon.

 

If I'm wrong, please correct me so I can make a revised counter-argument.

 

And If you want to 1v1 me in a training room sometime, I'd be more than happy to oblige.
