Hello, dear players!

 

My name is Daria Klimchuk (known as Knopka on RU realm). I'm your tournament manager for the future. So if you will have any questions about tournaments and topics to discuss - please feel free to ask me

 

Soon tournaments will be back to the game on NA!

Will be available three tournament series:

 

• Bronze series (Tiers V-VI, VII-VIII, IX-X) - every Tuesday and Thursday;
• Silver series (Tiers V-VI, VII-VIII, IX-X) - every Tuesday and Thursday;
• Gold series (Tiers VII-VIII, IX-X) - every Sunday.

 

Tournaments will be published in the game at the end of this week or in the start of next week. Also regulations will be published on the forum.

I hope you would like to participate in it

I only have two questions.

 

Will the tournaments actually work?

 

Why was the NA staff unable to make tournaments work - while Asia and RU did not have those issues?

Hello, Boris!

 

1. Yes, they will We would like to hold tournaments regularly on NA because they are an important part of the game process. Also I understand that for the first time we need to collect feedback from NA community about tournaments to make it better and comfortable.

2. It's hard for me to answer this question. But now tournaments always will take place in the game and I hope our NA community will be interested to participate in

Hello, RoadKutter!

 

It's a necessary evil if we would like to make first steps to "Seasons" and "Leagues".

But (spoiler) some other kinds of tournaments without tickets will be available in the future in WoT Blitz. Also you don't need tickets to participate in Bronze series

Just as on RU, many on NA have heard of the 1v1 tournaments held on EU and would like to see those. We haven't had proper tournaments in a pretty long while now.

We are looking for ways to hold tournaments 1vs1 sometimes. They will be something like fan tournaments. Sadly in the nearest future we are not planning to hold them but keepin' in mind anyway.

That's because currently we are preparing something special for players and announce it very-very soon...) And I suppose NA community is interested for offline tournaments, right?

1. Will these tournaments be at the same time as the old ones?

 

2. Will the time they are set at stay consistent all the time?

 

3. Will they be seeded randomly or by overall winrate as was being experimented with before our tournaments ended?

 

Also, thank you for bringing these back as the credit prizes are very helpful to me.

1. Start time: 8:00 PM (PT). Registration starts three days before the startime at 8:00 AM (PT).

2. Yes. But if we will have a lot of feedback about time and requests to change time - we can think about it I saw that before now tournaments took place on 6 PM but now they will be shifted two hours ahead. I'm not sure yet that it's comfortable time for all players, so.. will see )

3. By winrate (normalized type when teams in the group A are similar by winrate to group B for example).

 

By the way, prizes will be increased for all series. For example, 1st place in Gold series IX-X: a Grand Championships Ticket, Gold Series IX-X Ticket, 4,000,000 credits, 16 special Crew XP boosters, 16 special Combat XP boosters, and 400 Gold, 15 000 spare parts for each team member.

My main concern is that tickets would take the place of Spare Parts as mission rewards.  We all need Spare Parts and for myself the tickets are useless as due to time constraints I can't participate.

Players should not have to play tournaments to get spart parts bonuses to get their equipment back which WG took away. 

 

And most adults do not have the ability to play in gaming competitions, at the time of WG's choosing due to timezones, work, family, hobby, ...

Niora is my old nickname which I love a lot Once I was thinking about to change my nickname on RU from Knopka to Niora but the most part of community already known me as Knopka. But here I'm a new person and my old nickname on RU is not so important up here )

I understand how hard to equip all tanks now. But tournaments are additional opportunity to get spare parts, I hope it will help players..

your forgetting that they said bronze tickets wont be used. The tickets remaining in use (Silver and Gold) can only be earned by winning a tourny. Cant even buy them
