The profile pic is creepy, please tell me that's not really you. Welcome to NA and good luck with your English.

Who'd have thunk that a member of the NA forums doesn't recognize a picture of Fidel Castro. what do they teach in school these days.

Big Gunz and Ammo Rackz.

HJG2; Hughmons are People too.

Hello and welcome !

Sorry if I'm duplicating a previous comment but I've read - all of them - very quickly.
We enjoy tournaments and I'm trying to create a competitive tournament team. The main issue I'm facing is the following:

  • Many people work and can only compete during week ends. 6pm pacific Time is very late in some countries in the Americas or regions in North America.
  • We can not participate in week end tournaments because they are gold type and we don't have - yet - gold tickets.
  • The problem is we're not able to gather our best players during the week and obtain the silver and then, gold tickets. There are also fewer and fewer missions bringing tickets that can be shared among the team.

To summarize: Is there any possibility of putting - at least - one bronze or silver tournament on Friday or Saturday? Those are the days people meet and play games...

Thanks!

TseTseZen

Hello dear TseTseZen!

We are very appreciate your attempt to create strong team for participating in our tournaments and also we understand your concern. We will think about your suggestion but here is the question: will this day (Friday or Saturday) comfortable for other teams in our game? We also understand that many players have families, friends, and they want to have some time free of any games to have a rest out of any game competitive activities. By the other hand many of participants already used to participate these days and any changes may provoke a negative reaction too.

Could you please start a poll topic and ask other players about days which are comfortable to participate in tournaments?

I would like to second the idea of having co-captains. Having a second person able to register a team in case the captain that started the team has something preventing them from doing so would be helpful. I would like to add one comment I think tournaments are the best thing that have happened to Blitz.

just a thought, saturday tournament. no ticket. low reward. clans could use it as a training platform.  and it would be real fun for all. lower level tiers would be nice too. so more clan members could join. we always get a lot of no shows

We are thinking about tournaments without tickets "for fun". And have an idea how to realize it soon... :)

How about this: Tiers 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, any tank except premium tanks, and you have to use stock modules. For example, let's say I want to use a, oh I don't know, an IS-3. That means I would have to use stock turret, stock gun, stock engine, and stock suspension. Oh goody, I'd love to see people use a stock ARL 44.

This would really test the skills of a good player, to see if they can rely on their tank even if it is garbage.

Hello, theFANTASTICfox!

It's not planned now. I think, it would be hard for the big part of players, so I'm not sure that it's necessary.

so you will be the one answering the email address support gives out for tournament related questions?

[ also what about non clan specific tournaments?

all current tournaments that I know of require a team to be from the same clan.

what about a tournament that puts random people on the same team and that is their team until the tournament ends? ]

:edit: the part in brackets has already been answered

Sorry Knopka_NA for the late answer. I've been distracted a bit and did not connect that much. I'm trying to create a team for this Tuesday and I'm experiencing the same issue. I will create that poll tomorrow (Not sure the "organized play > tournament is the bets channel though). I do think you may have to target different kind of "segments" though or you're obliging all tournaments teams to have only one type of players.

I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this. There's three problems I have with tournaments.

1) Can they please add the start date and time to tournament invites? When my clan invites me to participate, for me (and I'm sure the for many people) it depends on when it is. But the invite doesn't tell you that important information. You have to go to the list of all the tournaments, and find the one that's marked "Partcipate!" and make sure it's the right kind of tournament in case the clan entered more than one. It sucks, when the invite could just tell you.

2) My second problem is the dates on the tournament list. They're in European format day.month and that is the ONLY place dates display that way and it's very confusing when you're used the American month.day. Especially when the day is 12 or less. It might not be so bad if all dates were displayed using the same format but that's not the case.

3) When you choose a tournament from the list and click on details, there is always two different start times and that's also very confusing. At the top the first line says Starting Time. Not only does it have no time zone specified (making it useless) what it says makes no sense for any time zone. By the way. that's true for the date/time Registration Closes, too. It's standard practice when you display a date and time you include the TIME ZONE when it's not obvious it's not the user's local time. If you want to know when you REALLY have to be online for the start, you have to search further down and look for where it says Battles start on... and that's the real time. What is that first start time supposed to be? Why can't you put the Battles start on... date/time at the top? That's what the player really needs to know.

Hello!

Thanks for your feedback. We'll keep it in mind.

P.S. About third point: date and time at the top of details of tournament depend on your operation system's date and time settings.

Welcome RC! Ditto on “Dave_Holzwasser” comments above, particularly items 1&2.  For item 3 (start times for tournaments, it would help if times were consistent - either all relative to “local/device” time, or all based upon specific time zones.  Most of us can do the math if we just know what time method is being used in the first place.

Also, could you please, please, coordinate your tournament schedule with developers and put a stop to version and patch updates dropping just before scheduled tournaments?  It really stinks for dozens of clans to jump through hoops getting a team registered and then cannot play, or barely make it into the tournament (and can’t warm up or practice just before) because players are tied up with downloading the most recent patch, probably have to restart their device, may have to uninstall and download again, etc., etc., all just before a tournament should begin.  Patches should not conflict or overlap tournaments; it just doesn’t make sense.

Good luck!  You won’t be able to make everyone happy, but careful thought and planning should help a lot.  Playing in tournaments yourself and experiencing what we experience will go a long way in helping you as well.  I’m sure you’ve already gotten plenty of “feedback”.

Keep it fun,

Tars

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that pic is of the former Priminister/President/Dictator of Cuba - Fidel Castro, who died about one year ago, in Nov. 2016.  Just sayin’ not judging; my profile pic may seem a little creepy too.  ;)

Tournament start times are at 8pm EST right now.  Can you move them back to 9pm EST?  Also could you rotate maps and map order in tournament leagues more often?  Right now maps change once every few months, changing them every week or two would be more interesting.
