Hi forumers!

 

Me again! Just like the title says- is the is5 worth the gold? I'm nearing my grind towards supply level X ( both personal and clan).I's the IS5 worth the 1500 gold? Thoughts, opinions- all appreciated. How does it do when it's up tiered? Is it true that it's an IS8 pushed down a tier in terms of performance?

I see it as basically an IS-3 with worse gun handling but no turret weakspot and good credit making. Stronk russian tank for 1.5k gold comes with vodka for crew, good deal.

For that price, absolutely. I don't play it a lot because I prefer tanks with decent gun handlling but when I play it I really enjoy it. Makes a lot of credits, too.

Yes it is worth it. Also note when you see one on red. It is a sure sign they have a few battles under their belt and probably know how to handle it. I don't drive mine much because I still need to part it out but I have enjoyed all my battles so far.

It's a tier 8 premium that is competitive and costs far less than any tier 5 premium currently in the tech tree.

It is very much worth it. In fact, it would still be a steal at 3000 gold. I hope this video helps you in your decision and how to play it.

First NA post yay!

(First game on NA and I got an Ace for my MS-1 lol)

 

I brought it on my Asia acc, I didn’t like it at first, the gun handling is horrific, but I got used to it after a while. However the other aspects about it are worth the gold.

I just wish the sidescraping capabilities were higher though, it gets less spaced armor than The IS-3 and somehow I always get penned while sidescraping.

Its def worth it, but like all the IS noob wagons I find it boring to play.  I bought it AND I bought the real expensive camo b/c that copper color looks pretty rad....but it doesn't get driven much.  So yeah I wasted money...what else is new...

 

But it is a really tough nut to crack.

Because I already have plenty of tier 8 Russian hevies, do I really need another one? He feels strongly that it is a must have tank and I am asking for him to clarify if he thinks it is soo much better than what I already have.

Buy it. I like it better than the IS-6; it basically has the high-pen gun from the IS-6, but with a slightly better RoF. Good troll armor all around.

Bought it yesterday with the rust camo. I am equipping it now and once equipped I think I will be a troll and run only this tank for a week.
