Think about it: most of the playerbase is 40%. It's not fun to get crushed by people who actually put effort into this game. Therefore, they want to drive away all the good players in order to make the 40%ers stay. More people=more money.

This makes no sense. there will always be 60%ers and 40%ers in the game, don't matter what they try to do. It's statistics, the bell curve will always exist. Good players will be good, bad players will be bad.

Think before you tin-foil hat all over the forums.

If they wanted to get rid of the 60ers they simply would make a MM based on skill/winrate/wn8 whatever other similar stats,

that way everyone would be in the 50 or so range. There would be other issues with such a MM but hey ...

Tinfoil, where is the tinfoil ...

It's not a tin foil hat theory to believe that WG would like to compress the bell and reduce the number of 60% and 40% players by pushing them both toward 50%.  Nerfing the tanks that have a high skill ceiling will accomplish that...

It is precisely tinfoil hat thinking.  The devs here have said as much.  They look at over- and underperforming tanks - not players.  You can't nerf or buff players - that's silly thinking!  And you as a 57% player should know better.  Play better = better stats = better winrate.  REGARDLESS of the tank you play.  (Ke-Ni Otsu excepted, lol)

Lol.  I know enough to know:

1.  Player retention is highly important to WG.  A lost player is lost revenue.

2. A vast majority of players could give a flying hoot about becoming unicums...

3. Whether a player admits it or not... losing isn't fun and a new player that can't win will leave.

4.  If I were the developer, I would look at tanks that are OP in the hands of the few and explore ways to neuter them without impacting the many.

5.  If I were the developer, I would explore ways of improving under-performing tanks in the hand of the many that wouldn't necessarily help the few.

6.  I can't help myself to ignore condescending posts.

You can't nerf or buff players but you can nerf or buff the tools they use.  Abusing view range was a skill that required a tool.  You think WG eliminated that because of the 40% player who doesn't even care to learn view mechanics?

At 57% and 32k+ games, I know when something is taken that gives me an edge over the trash some folks call the player base.

1.  Player retention is highly important to WG.  A lost player is lost revenue.  RT: nerfing tanks won't change this.  If you want to retain players by nerfing tanks, unis would just switch.  Irrelevant to WG's problem, which I think is frustration because newbs simply don't understand the game they're playing

2. A vast majority of players could give a flying hoot about becoming unicums... RT: in general, true.  But many 40%ers I talk to are stoked to get the knowledge they need to win.  Losing sucks, and if you suck, it won't matter what tank you drive.  The converse is true - unis make all tanks OP ;)

3. Whether a player admits it or not... losing isn't fun and a new player that can't win will leave.

4.  If I were the developer, I would look at tanks that are OP in the hands of the few and explore ways to neuter them without impacting the many.  RT: I don't think this is an issue - at all.  Otherwise, why hasn't the T-46 with the autoloader been nerfed?

5.  If I were the developer, I would explore ways of improving under-performing tanks in the hand of the many that wouldn't necessarily help the few.  RT: you can't turn this idea into cash in the bank.  Bad players will suck in all tanks, and nothing you can do to buff a tank can prevent it from being OP in the hands of a uni, or nerfing a tank in the hands of a uni and making it unplayable for a pubbie.

6.  I can't help myself to ignore condescending posts.  RT: I baited you because your stats disprove the notion you're putting forward, LOL

You can't nerf or buff players but you can nerf or buff the tools they use.  Abusing view range was a skill that required a tool.  You think WG eliminated that because of the 40% player who doesn't even care to learn view mechanics?  RT: I will agree there.  Of all the things noobs don't understand, it's view range.  So removing binocs helped with the general ignorance of the tanking unwashed.  So WG isn't buffing / nerfing tanks to trend people to 50% - but they may do it in other ways to prevent OP loadouts.  Except for the Ke-Ni Otsu and T-46!

At 57% and 32k+ games, I know when something is taken that gives me an edge over the trash some folks call the player base.

You seem to take offense to a view that WG tries to compress the bell curve to move more people from 40 and 60% toward 50%.  Not sure why...  personally, I don't know if they do or don't (and don't really care).  However, I wouldn't call people who may think they do this... 'tinfoil hat' wearers.  They have means and motive and evidence supports it.  Why the cries for heresy?  We're not talking about rigged MM or The Society, here.

For the record, The Society is real.  And you are definitely not a part of it... so you should join my crusade to expose it.

When the game was first made, I bet there were 60%+ players who were saying the same thing about the first patches. Time goes by and the 40% players become 60% players and then they say the exact same thing. On and on it goes, with each iteration group of 60%+ players, never realizing, that at one time, they were just scrubs and noobs to earlier players.

For that matter, how do you know, Blitz wasn't created, for people who couldn't get above 50% in World of Tanks?

Yeah, I'm back. Let's not make a big deal about this.

There's nothing from WG or any evidence to show that there's bell curve action going on WG.  The evidence is all anecdotal.
