Wonderful! So if you look on our website, you'll see the details, but actually the tournament is divided into two categories based on max tier points. Category 1 is 28 tier points, so you can have any arrangement of tanks adding up to 28 tier points in your 3 man team (i.e. 2 tier X and 1 tier VIII, 1 tier X and 2 tier IX, etc). Category 2 is 22 tier points and tier 8 max. So any arrangement of tanks adding up to a tier value of 22.

Question......

Does the "maximum of 5 per team" include the team leader?  The way the form is set up it seems like the team lead + 5 members which would equal 6?

Also are multiple teams allowed from the same clan?

Thanks!

It's 5 per team INCLUDING the team leader. And sure, multiple teams are welcome. It doesn't even have to be all from the same clan, it's up to you. :)

So...it's a heavy brawloff that requires extensive knowledge of micro positioning, teamwork, and focus fire. Sounds fun. Why don't we get to use the entire map? This is very restricting to medium/light tank players.

Sure, this is a competition that is limited in scope, but we wanted to try something a little unique that would showcase skill over strategy and be fun. And I will mention that the whole idea was brought up by one of our players who is a big TD player and will probably use one. You just have to find the right tanks.

Maybe in future we'll host something else that caters to other groups of players but we'll try this and see how it goes!

Hi all! The Gold and Glory Tournament maps with their clearly marked combat zones have been uploaded to the website for you to view. Teams may win the match by 1) Capturing both bases in the combat zones or 2) destroying the enemy team. For your pleasure view here: https://mrkvmblitz.wixsite.com/mrkvm/gold-and-glory

Hello again :),

I'm wondering where we find the list of tanks and how many points they're "worth" to start deciding on a team vehicle line up?

Thanks!

P.S. Gave you guys a shout out on the latest TankBOOM recording. o7

Hey man,

Tanks points are based on tier. Tier 8 = 8 points, Tier 10 = 10 points, etc...total must add up to 22 points for Category 2, or 28 points for Category 1.

Food for thought for next time if you decide to do this again.....

Maybe remove the "combat zone" and simply have 2 of the caps on each map valid for the competition.

That would remove the judges discretionary ruling on whether or not players are outside the combat zone "to long".

In hindsight the rules were not as clear as they could have been.

I really apologize for maybe not making the rules as clear as they should have been. I felt most people understood that but I can see there was sort of a loophole when entering the zone.

I did offer Randimoon to redo the battle based on that and the fact that due to everyone needing something I was kind of frazzled and made a snap judgement.

Thank you all for participating and next time we'll try to be more clear about the rules.
