my mom makes “pizza burgers”

its basically the toppings in a pizza mashed into a burger patty on a single bun and baked. It’s great

Oh that does sound good. How did she bind the ingredients together?

It isn’t cold enough for chili to be comfort food yet. I can still fish the creek wading in a pair of shorts without having to put on waders. I agree though, I could eat some cinnamon rolls or chili. I haven’t done both together but it sounds good. Most folks around here go chili and peanut butter sandwiches. You can’t beat winter food though. Nothing beats chili or a big pot of beans with cornbread, stew, vegetable soup, potato soup, etc.

Sounds like something that came from the midway at some county fair, but they couldn't figure out how to deep-fry it and put it on a stick, lol.

As someone who enjoys cooking I have experimented with various spices in chili including nutmeg and cinnamon. Neither of which is sweet. The sweetness is from the added sugar the roll provides. A bit of molasses would provide the sweetness your looking for as would honey ( my preference) or even maple syrup ( not the maple flavored corn syrup). I prefer my chili with rice for the starch and I'll never pass up corn bread.

After Skyline Chili or Dixie Chili, I'd try this once.

Only from an accredited restaurant of course.

There is only one TD and 183 is her name.

In Iowa they start them early doing this.  Every time we had chili at school lunch we would get cinnamon rolls also.

Don't think it will replace deep fried cheese curds and beer here in Wisconsin...

But as long as we are discussing it, does the chili have noodles or beans in it?  Because if it does, apparently it's no longer chili.

Who knew?

Today I went to the bathroom and forgot my phone.

There are 256 tiles in the bathroom...

it’s a staple in Nebraska, and apparently in parts of Kansas and Iowa as well. It’s even served at Runzas, for Christ’s sake.

Cinnamon rolls and chili from Leadbelly’s in Lincoln Nebraska was #2 on the best game day food list from ESPN

Are you from Nebraska? I have relatives there, we've never had it when we visit.

Minnesota doesn't have this abomination.

I think we count as the midwest? (We're 4th in the US for corn production)

I've always heard that Minnesota is basically another province of Canada.  Snow, hockey, beer, ice fishing.

I am from Midwest, Michigan....I prefer cornbread or toasted rolls, with real butter, with my home made chili. Cinnamon rolls are for hangovers and my kids....but, cinnamon is a great spice with the spices I use in my chili. When I visited Morocco, I had the best food I ever had and cinnamon was used along with 13 other spices...kind of like my chili....uh oh, now I need to try cinnamon rolls in my chili. Thanks for the post. Tonight I am on the grill with my award winning blue cheese, cumin, sun-dried tomatoes turkey burgers. Carry on.

that doesn’t make any sense, but cinnamon rolls and chili will send you to heaven for the time it takes to eat it :D
