I am going to start playing my SP 1c soon. As soon as the top gun is unlocked with free XP. I have not yet played the tank at all yet. The crew will be at 75%. It'll be interesting to see how MM treats a fully upgraded, unplayed, and untrained tank. I'll post my results.

Curious to see if your results look something like a hand that has been beaten with a hammer.

That is all proprietary information.  There is absolutely no reason that they should release that information publicly.  Expecting them to is simply setting yourself up for disappointment.

I consider that completely B.S. but again it's just my opinion. Other games ( not all) do have there MM public. I know numerous pvp MM has weighted algorithms.

Bingo.

While I admit my faith in WG is low, they cannot divulge MM as it would allow others to copy.

However we should accept their word on this as they do say that WOT is weighted.

Besides it is actually pretty easy to see that MM isn’t weighted simply out of play.

Track 1,000 battles, you will see what I have found.

You (the individual player) make your own luck.

Play well, direct the battle and don’t die ;)

I'm not saying you still can't win in a weighted system, when you're on the losing side. It's just harder. And it is the same for everyone. All of that I totally agree with. Skill is the defining factor of all MM systems.

All their MM appears to be a RNG that grabs 7-7 tanks.

You can (I don’t but I know folks that do) play the battle button game to try to get into queue when it’s favorable for you to be top tier.

Since that seems to work for people - one can safely assume that their is no significant weighting going on.

Frankly you can see in ratings battles that MM struggles there - and it’s an entirely different system for MM.

Yes we all get twisted when on a losing streak - but if it was weighted we wouldn’t see folks pushing 70%+ in tanks and overall.

Re-rolls would get totally hosed with that - and we see they don’t.

Good points to be sure...I guess I'm just pessimistic when it comes to WG of late.

I always assumed the "honeymoon" period for a new tank wasn't a real thing, just a theory. Since it's now been confirmed as real, 1 question comes to mind: How many battles does this period last for? 5? 10? 20?

1 win (STI) 7 losses in tier 9 tanks. All 8 were bottom tier.

I learned one thing today, thanks to Dan Deerso, stay out

of tier 9 during events like this. :(

And I'm still failing in the IS 5

I guess above tier 6 I'm just dead weight.

I should sell all my tanks above 7

Unlocked the final gun with free XP this morning. Haven't played the tank yet. This evening I'll run it straight and see how MM treats me.

I simply can't make the IS-5 work for me. No matter what I do I invariably end up against an E-75 who just tears me apart. I don't know how they find me but they always do.  The IS-5 is the biggest tank buying regret I have in this game.

At least the IS-5 is a cheap mistake.  Compared to other same Tier premiums anyway.
The point of the game is to win.  The purpose of the game is to have fun.  They are not mutually exclusive.

IS-5 is a tier 8 IS-8

Play it’s strengths, not its weaknesses.

Well I don't have an IS-8...  So far the only strengths I've found with the IS-5 are it's ability to bounce shots from it's turret, attract E-75's like a buffet attracts morbidly obese families, and shoots like it's got Stevie Wonder behind the sights.  :P

It doesn’t mater if the health pool is the same, if you team is a potato team you aren’t going to win.

That is the compliant from the majority of players who say the MM is rigged. It doesn’t matter what they do, or how good they are. They are getting steam rolled 10,15, 20 games in a row.

Now, it’s easy to say carry harder, until you see the damage output and average lifespan of the teammates involved in these type of matches. Nobody can carry those type of teams, nobody.

Those type of matches become the normal and not the exception, so they get upset and post about the game being rigged. A bad span of games can last 2 or 3 days, if you are only playing 5 games or so a day. Then you may win a few games like 6 or 7 and go on another 10 or 15 game losing streak. Yeah, there is some rigging going on for sure. Whether or not it is against players (unlikely), or for certain players (likely), but it wouldn’t be hard to do. Especially on high profile accounts, or reported accounts.

I don’t think anybody posting on this thread in a positive manner has experienced those type of runs on multiple occasions during a month.

If you run multiple accounts from unique IP’s and also play the game socially you can see a marked difference in the MM. It takes time to see it, but it is there.
