I honestly don't know if match-making is rigged or not, but what I DO KNOW is what I see with my own eyes.
Entered a tier X battle last night with my Clan mate as a 'toon and after the oh so quick loss i looked at the team make-ups. Opposing team has THREE players with over 60+% win rate and none of the rest of the red team has anyone with less than a 56% win rate!
As for my team? We had....... me. I was the only player in my team with over a 50% win rate, and I suck at the upper tiers. All the rest of my team has less than a 50% win rate, with 2 of them under 40%
Now if this was an isolated incident i would say, "On well, luck of the draw.." However it isn't an isolated incident. It happens all the time in all the tiers. I take tons of screenshots and after every battle when handing out the thumbs-ups i look at the team make-up and even when I won it seems as if the opposing team had a better average win rate over my team approximately 65% of the time. Sometimes crazily so! Like two 80+%'ers AND a 70%'er AND a 60%'er vs my team, filled with below average players.. (and yes, i am including myself in that lot)
I freely admit I am not that good a player, but I have been working hard on getting better, yet it seems like WG keeps trying to trip me up! Pretty much i have come to the conclusion that if I don't carry, and carry HARD, i am not going to win.
WarGaming, why don't you take into account the player's win rates when match-making?? Balance the teams that have a 60+%'er with 30,000 battles with a player who has 40% and 1400 battles, while on the other team put a guy with a 52% w/r alongside a player with a 48% win rate??
Just my 2 cents
Everything you described (aka complained is exactly as it should be). If MM is random, then you will have some games where you get a far better team than red does and some games with the opposite. On balance, you will likely win most of the former and lose most of the latter. It is not surprising that in the games you lose, red usually has better players.
Wargaming, please do not listen to his request regarding balancing matchmaking based on winrate.
If you balance teams based on winrate, we will all start to regress to 50% because the teams will always be evenly matched and our individual abilities to influence games will always be off-set by a player with a similar ability to influence games.
Unless you want Blitz to be a game where everyone has the same winrate, you should not be asking for individual battles to have balanced teams. If WG were to implement something like that, then people would stop comparing WR and would focus more on damage ratio and KDR (sometimes at the expense of winning battles) because those would be the only stats they would be able to consistently influence.
