I was playing it last night and it seemed like the acceleration was not the same as I remembered. I've had the tank since July and played around 500 battles in it and it felt different. It seems like the mobility soft stats have been pretty heavily nerfed. Acceleration is slower and turning seems to bleed even more speed than before. The E50M supposedly still has the 1200HP engine so why does it all of a sudden feel sluggish, or am I just dreaming this? I know the frontal armor got changed, nerfed in my opinion (T-54's no longer have to shoot HEAT at you frontally). Anybody else notice a difference in the E50M? Any guesses as to why a perfectly balanced tank got hit with the nerf bat (other than being German)?

It feels sluggish to me as well but I don't mind it as much because I now have 30mm more frontal armor.

It will be next micro-patch. It's a glitch just like excess crew skills glitch.

These guys are cruel to Lowe and M10 drivers. Once they upgraded top speed on Panther and Tiger II would not it be fair to buff premium clones as well ?

I agree to some extent. The only problem is that now T-54's with the 200pen gun can now blow through the lower plate with AP so it's as much a nerf as it is a buff.

Yep, I love going up against the 50 and 50M in my Brits. I can just fire HESH all day into their lower plates and annihilate them. Same goes for all the Germans except the Tier 10 heavies.

Maybe angle the armour? And they could still pen you from the front by shooting your turret, you know.

Should not the upgraded 8 degrees of the gun depression let them hide lower plate pretty much everywhere ? T34 hwy has 10 degrees and can easily hide the entire hull.

I don't know if the E50M received additional gun depression. It's not on the notes.

The P/M10 and Löwe both got buffed in 1.3.

As well as the regular Panther. But now the top speed for P/M10 seems is lower than that for the regular Panther. Not a big deal really. Just saying.

E50 always had 8 degrees down. Should be enough to hide the lower plate on desert maps. Going "lower plate" down does not make much sense for Panther and Panther II as the entire hull is glass but once E50M got buffed in terms of armor it probably can be tried.

I've checked using armor inspector and it's practically impossible to angle it enough to make a difference. You're correct about the turret but the turret is a WHOLE lot harder to hit than the lower plate. The narrow turrets on the Panther's/E50's actually work pretty well. For me anyway, I can't seem to consistently penetrate the E50's turret frontally. I get as many bounces off the pigs head mantlet as I do penetrations. I still don't understand how this tank needed any kind of buff or nerf. It was perfectly balanced as a heavium that wasn't the best at any role but could fill in anywhere whether that be as a medium, heavy, or tank destroyer.

Nope. Just this patch. I remember because I compared it to the (future) tier X FV45.02, and noted that it would have a few more millimetres of plating on the front. Now, since it has 150mm, the E50(m) has more armour.

E50M was 120/120 upper and lower plates. Now it's 150/100 upper and lower plates. The 20mm makes a huge difference for other mediums (tier 8/9) shooting at your lower plate because they don't have to use gold now to consistently pen it. The 150mm upper plate is kinda meh. The only people who shot the upper plate were heavies and the extra 30mm isn't going to make much of a difference to tier 9/10 heavies. It's going to be like shooting a tiger 2's upper plate, 95% of those shots are going through.
