The reason why tier X is such a sleepy campground is because people are scared of being pimp slapped by that unspotted 183. No tank in the game is completely impervious to its shell, the dreaded girthy harbinger of death, even from the front, and so everyone has no choice but to cower pathetically behind some disgraceful piece of cover. Oh! such humiliation!
But fear not, for I have a solution: to nerf the camo and view range and buff the frontal armor of the IS-7 and Obj. 263. Now, before you call me out on my complete lack of brain cells, let me explain myself.
Camo & View range
Worse camo and shorter view ranges will hinder these tanks' sniping abilities, encouraging them to be up front. With the 263, it is theoretically possible, with its accurate gun, that it could simply sit back and let others do the spotting, but in practice such a strategy will be unreliable due to the inconsistent teams.
Frontal Armor
These two tanks already have good frontal armor but a fairly weak hull when facing a 183, discouraging a push against one. However, when facing almost any other tank, these two (IS-7 and 263) are fantastic assault tanks because of their ability to rush up and bully other tanks—an ability that is useless when there is a 900-1300 alpha shell waiting for you when you peek. By making them immune from 183 shells from the front, they are able to regain that ability and push the tempo of the game (of course, a major frontal armor buff will require a nerf to balance it out again—I think a side armor and traverse nerf would be in order then).
Basically, to reinvigorate tier X I suggest exaggerating the strengths and weaknesses of some breakthrough tanks. And guys . . . when flaming my terrible idea, please only use the spiciest, most quality roasts. Bland roasts not allowed here!
