Hey guys!
Here come actual tier 8-10 stats from NA server.
It's time to disclose more further balance adjustments.
First of all we are going to remove some unnecessary modules for several vehicles. We'll start with guns which are not effective, not popular and perform poorly. Complete list of such modules will be revealed later.
Tier 9-10
FV4202 and Centurion 7/1 are getting alternative gun with HESH as premium shells in update 4.7. After that we will track these vehicles stats and performance very attentively just in case subsequent changes are needed.
BatChat 25t's buff is on the way. Shell reload time will be reduced.
Foch 155 and Foch are not getting auto-loader - rangefinder and side armor will be improved instead.
IS-4's assailable points will be strengthened.
Tier 8
Ferdinand will be nerfed due to it's superiority over other tier 8 TD's.
KV-5's radioman turrets will get more armor.
Glacial 112 gun will be equipped with new shells with higher penetration.
Tier 7
Tiger and Tiger P will be nerfed due to excessive previous buff. The rest of tier 7 heavies are under review. After that adjustments for other classes will be considered (for example light tanks efficiency).
Can I get my spare parts back from the Ferdinand? You guys keep breaking tanks all over the place, and calling it balance. Also when is the Is-2 getting buffed?

No, you can't.
IS-2 will be improved later.

Then can you not nerf the Ferdinand? Between the spare parts and timers fiasco now your “Balancing” makes fully equipped tanks a joke. This constant bait and switch is annoying. It takes a lot of time to earn all the spare parts needed, not to mention that you have to use gold to skip timers. And for what, so you can just nerf that tank? Not Cool!

This is just great. For years the Ferdi was a nearly useless tank, completely dominated by the ultra-mobile hull-down monster Jagdpanther 2, and when it finally receives a small buff that makes it more competent they immediately nerf it.
And I just bought it back. It's competent--but not as good as the Jp2.
Thanks wargaming.

The fact that the buff was excessive would have been clear to anyone at WG, if they had decided they run a few tests in a training room with the buffed tank. FWIW, I rushed a Defender on reload with my Tiger P and Adrenalinr and was able to kill it or severely cripple it. Defender used to be the top do at Tier 8 and a Tier 7 could rush it. LOL.
The buff was ridiculous and that was obvious to anyone who played this buffed tank, the fact that it even got they far speaks for the incompetence of the team at WG making these decisions. I just recommend to play your own game every once in a while. I can assure you, it will really help making decisions.
While I don’t own the Ferdinand any more, I am also reasonably sure that the better recent performance has much to do with drivers skilled in this tank picking it up and driving it again. I recommend that WG takes a very close looks the driver populations before they decide to nerf this tank in oblivion again.

The now defunct WOTB website used to have this data - sort of. it would give you the percentile within the population of players in the WOTB data, which I am guessing is close to the population of players overall. my scrublord 55.x% Wr would put me close to the 90% percentile. Since there are only about 1% of players better than 65%WR, this means that the balancing decisions are made based on the performance of the 90-99% percentile of players in terms of WR.
This kind of explains why a lot of 45% players cannot perform in “balanced” tanks (mostly lightly armored vehicles) because those tanks were not balanced for them, they were balanced for players that rate from scrublord up to wannabeunicum.

Yea that's why I stopped using sparts lower tiers. Somewhere here Wg did acknowledge high cost of sparts per equipment line.
Many customers would be delighted if ...if
-Equipment is pick and choose.
-Retractable ...give us something for selling the tank man.

Spot-on Spek. And what happens is that all the good players who watch the news and know what's coming see that a certain tank is going to be buffed, they all drive it like nuts after the next patch. This may make the tank appear OP as the player pendulum swings to these recently-buffed tanks. Ribble and Zloyd I'd suggest you wait a patch before buffing/nerfing tanks since this might be just the phenomena you're seeing in your statistics.
Tanks being buffed in WG's news feed could end up being largely a self-fulfilling prophecy as good players will immediately gravitate to those tanks in the next patch.
