Don’t sit still in a LT while spotted when there’s a KV-2 in play? Learn to play Tier 6? I don’t know what else to say. The KV-2 can’t hit a moving target reliably at all outside point blank range, and he takes a long time to aim. So...you were sitting still for far too long.

My trash Kv2 stats disagree. In general, I'd say that it's balanced. Maybe work on your positioning? Kv2 is the most RNG-reliant tank I've ever played, maybe you were just on the wrong side of RNG. So, I guess... pray to RNGesus more?

The Kv-2 is plenty balanced. It had bad armor, bad mobility, and horrid gun handling. This all balances out the 152mm gun. YOU need to learn how to handle Kv-2s while playing fast, lightly armored tanks. Stay moving, and there will be a very slim chance it hits you. And even if it somehow were to get deleted, there are other balanced tanks such as the SU-152 that would do the exact same thing to you.

The KV2 is fine, so long as you dont stop moving.  the number of light tanks i see that stop side on in front of the gun is mind boggling

Yeahhhh, it’s really hard to hit anything with a kv2 unless it’s sitting completely still (you’d be surprised how often this happens. Seriously) basically when a kv2 is in play, always look for it so that you know it’s whereabouts. Us kv2 users love to shoot the unsuspecting tank in the middle of a firefight with someone else. We also like killing pesky light tanks and other kv2s in a snapshot war. Seeing anything tier five is a welcome snack, and something like a tog is a feast. If you’re in an mt25 though, well we really enjoy those. It’s really hard not to one shot an mt25 in all honesty. Keep moving!

I think the turret traverse should be slightly nerfed and the velocity of it's rounds should be reduced.  I'm tired of seeing KV-2 platoons pretending they are snipers.  Make it harder to snipe and snapshot with.  A good player will be able to take these changes in stride while the 40%ers who flock to it because it's the only way they can do damage will be reigned in a bit.

I'd also add that the alpha dmg of the HE round should be adjusted to T49 levels (or vice versa). It's silly that a tier VI 152mm puts out significantly more dmg than a very similar gun that is two tiers higher.

Kv2 is pretty much a lottery every time you try to shoot, your round could end up nailing em for 960 or missing and flying into a mountain off the map

Last night in a tourney I one shotted a t34-85 as he fell off a cliff

KV-2s teach you not to sit in the open.  If you have a big gun unspotted on red team, you had better make sure to use cover - a very good lesson for higher tier play.  I don't find them that hard to deal with, as long as I pay attention to when they are spotted, where they are on the map, when they fire, and which way the turret is turned.

I agree, the KV-2 spam is out of control with the last buff. (When you see a minimum of 2 of the same tank on both teams in every game that points to an OP tank)

Prior to the buff it was a moderate skill tank to drive...some 1-shots (mostly lights and lower tier), a lot of damage but you needed your team to fight. It's now a very low skill tank to play and you don't really need your team to fight anymore just screen as the KV-2 1-shots everyone. With the increased penetration from the buff and the increase from equipment it can now 1-shot nearly every t6 and t5 light/med (and many t7s, poor Helsing) in the game and do significant damage (300-400) to those it can't full pen like the Kuro.  So no longer is 1-shot 'fun' waiting for the leopard but now for lights, meds, and many TDs of the same tier. People often complain about the 183 breaking the game at tier 10 because it can nearly destroy it's peers with a single shot but the KV-2 is much more of a threat in T6 following the buff; completely destroying most of its peers with 1-shot...no help needed.

As players get tired of being destroyed by 1-shot my guess is they'll migrate toward heavies to counteract the damage potential so we'll end up with KV-2s and heavies mostly at T6...a broken model. IMO they're going to end up nerfing it's pen or they're going to need to beef up the thickness of many other tanks to bring this tank back into balance.

Basically it's the "artillery" of Blitz.   25% skill and 75% RNG.  It's a tank that is tailor designed to make a bad player feel productive.

I play a lot of tier 5-7, and KV-2 is rarely a problem if you play the game properly.  Slow, tall, weak armor for a heavy, huge slab of easily to pen turret side, low hit points.  A lot of them out there because too many people sit in the open and make themselves easy targets.  And no, I am not just defending the KV-2 because I play it.  Only 4 battles with it in the last 90 days, and over 300 total battles at tier 6 (over 900 total at tiers 5-7).  I worry much more about a good player in an ARL or Bromwell than I do about a KV-2.  Lets not even mention the Flatpanzer (Jdpz IV), the most broken tank in tier 6.
