New Game Modes

Sooo. I was just thinking of whether or not Wotb needs innovative ways to liven up things. So here is what I came up with.

 

Captain's Mode

-1 tank gets more health maybe 1.5 to 2x more. Killing the captain Ends the game.

 

King of the Hill

-We may need special maps for this one. A mix of encounter and supremacy mode. One flag in the middle. Points is up to 1000 but instead of "capturing the flag" Points will only accumulate by the number of tanks in the circle, lets say 10 pts per second every tank inside the circle.

 

Free For All

-This maybe I like the best. 14 or if possible more tanks fight in a large enough map. Last man standing wins

 

Timed Battle

-Tanks Respawn. Can be free for all or team oriented, Team/Person with the most kills at the end of the battle timer wins.

 

Protect something mode

-Pretty self explanatory. You need to protect some immovable object like a container or bunker while you destroy the enemy's. Will be a good mix of defense and offence.

 

Free for all Platoon Edition

-Free for all with 5 to 10 pairs of platoon fighting in an all out war

 

Capture the flag.

-Can be one flag or 2 flag mode

-One flag mode has flag in the middle. get the flag in the middle and get a point. first 3 or 5 points win

-2 flag mode. get the flag of enemy team while protecting yours. same first to get 3 or 5 points wins the game

 

 

Wonder if any of the will come to wg's idea table

Free for all? Half the people would just drive in circles and do nothing....otherwise good idea

I think a Free For All gamemode would be a nice way to warm up and/or work on technique.

Free for all would be difficult to implement, but I like the king of the hill idea. It would need some new maps but there's definitely stuff they could do with that and it would actually place importance on the slower tanks.

If we're gonna be honest, E-25 is OP when used to its max potential

I imagine king of the hill would be like a single flagged supremacy and the more tanks on the flag circle the faster the points will go up. Also there should be no points for kills as to focus on getting the center flag (hill) pretty much like encounter mode but points dont go away when you get shot

Also I was thinking of a mode where its like free for all and there is a timer. tanks respawn and the tank with most kill by the end of the time wins

True, but then it would be more of a race to the afkers and nubs rather than a true fight, and wg would need to figure out how to make it fair for all types of tanks,

Even a series of progressive captures where you have to cap serial bases sequentially in order to win.... blitz probably isn’t the right plate form for such though.

One could design these as separate from pub matches, something just for fun, which wouldn’t affect stats. Or you could use boosters to access...... erm, nm.

that's what I'm imagining the king of the hill would be like. Or at least a much bigger cap circle but where shots don't reset the timer, maybe the only pause it. Or whoever controls the hill for the longest duration during the game. Once they control it for more than half the game, they automatically win or something.

Hardcore mode with

  • MM+-2
  • friendly fire
  • twice xp for top of the scoreboard and slightly less xp for the bottom of the score board than normal encounters,  of course tier-2 get also a bonus and +2 get a minus but that’s been already in game for ever. Same goes for credits. Potential more rewards, but the bottom scum get some little spanking.
  • tanks that at least reached the drawing board some day in some real world force.
  • No hitskin
  • use of boosters and rations  probably not
  • use of multi repairs is debatable.

 

so pretty much the game as it was released, cranked up a little bit here and there.
