  10. It is forbidden to intentionally use any errors (bugs) or failures of the Game with the purpose of gaining a gaming advantage.

Tournament Stages, Tournament System, and Battle Format

The precise start time of matches will be displayed in the game client after the drawing. During the 1st stage, teams will be drawn randomly. During the 2nd stage, teams in the upper bracket will be drawn according to the "strongest against weakest" principle based on the number of points scored by the teams in the previous stage (team A plays with team D, team B plays with team C).

Group Stage, Round 1

The Group Stage is conducted using the Round-robin system: each Team plays against each Team within its group.

Tournament system: Round-robin, Bo5. Number of teams per group: 8, number of groups: 1. The first spawn point is determined randomly by the automatic tournament system.

Schedule and maps:

Two battles are held on the same map with the spawn point swapped after the first battle, then the map is changed.

  • Round 1: 24 March, 18:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Dead Rail, Castilla, Port Bay.
  • Round 2: 24 March, 18:45 (UTC -7). Maps: Canal, Port Bay, Fort Despair.
  • Round 3: 25 March, 18:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Canyon, Naval Frontier, Castilla.
  • Round 4: 25 March, 18:45 (UTC -7). Maps: Fort Despair, Dead Rail, Canyon.
  • Round 5: 31 March, 18:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Dynasty's Pearl, Fort Despair, Mayan Ruins.
  • Round 6: 31 March, 18:45 (UTC -7). Maps: Oasis Palms, Canal, Dead Rail.
  • Round 7: 1 April, 18:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Naval Frontier, Mayan Ruins, Oasis Palms.

A victory in the round brings the team 3 points, a loss in the round brings the team 0 points. After the end of Round 1 of the Group Stage, all teams advance to the next round:

Group Stage, Round 2

Tournament system: Round-robin, Bo5. Number of teams per group: 8, number of groups: 1. The first spawn point is determined randomly by the automatic tournament system.

Schedule and maps:

Two battles are held on the same map with the spawn point swapped after the first battle, then the map is changed.

  • Round 1: 1 April, 19:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Mayan Ruins, Dead Rail, Canyon.
  • Round 2: 7 April, 18:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Castilla, Oasis Palms, Canal.
  • Round 3: 7 April, 18:45 (UTC -7). Maps: Fort Despair, Dead Rail, Port Bay.
  • Round 4: 8 April, 18:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Dynasty's Pearl, Oasis Palms, Canal.
  • Round 5: 8 April, 18:45 (UTC -7). Maps: Port Bay, Castilla, Naval Frontier.
  • Round 6: 14 April, 18:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Canyon, Canal, Mayan Ruins.
  • Round 7: 14 April, 18:45 (UTC -7). Maps: Dead Rail, Naval Frontier, Dynasty's Pearl.

A victory in the round brings the team 3 points, a loss in the round brings the team 0 points. After the end of the Group Stage, the 4 best teams will be determined based on the total points scored for both rounds.

If several teams have an equal number of points, the following parameters will be considered to determine the winner:

  • Head-to-head battles and the total score for these battles (the team that won in both head-to-head battles or that has more victories in head-to-head battles advances to the next stage).
  • If it is impossible to determine a winner based on the above parameters, the total score (number of victories) earned by teams in both rounds of the Group Stage will be considered.
  • If it is impossible to determine a winner based on the above parameters, the total duration of all head-to-head battles of the contesting teams will be considered.
  • If the winner is still not determined upon considering all the abovementioned parameters, a tie-break is announced. The time of the tie-break and the maps to be played shall be determined by the Organizer. The Organizer shall notify the teams of the tie-break time on the forum in advance.

Final Stage

The Final Stage is conducted using the Double Elimination system (battles are fought in the upper and lower brackets). Number of teams: 4. Battle format: Bo7. The first spawn point is determined randomly by the automatic tournament system. Two battles are held on the same map with the spawn point swapped after the first battle, then the map is changed.

  • A Team losing in the Upper bracket moves into the Lower bracket.
  • A Team winning in the Upper bracket advances to the next rounds of the Tournament in the Upper bracket.
  • A Team losing in the Lower bracket is eliminated from the Tournament.
  • Winners of the Upper and Lower brackets meet in the Finals.

Schedule and maps:

Upper bracket

  • Round 1: 15 April, 18:00 (UTC -7). Maps: Mayan Ruins, Port Bay, Dead Rail, Castilla.
  • Round 2: 15 April, 19:01 (UTC -7). Maps: Canal, Naval Frontier, Oasis Palms, Fort Despair.

Awesome, looking forward to it. Is there any reason why it is so late? At minimum, it appears that 11 PM (EST) is the minimum time, but I’m awful with time zones so I might be wrong. Also, why are the times different every (tourney) day?

New to tier X? Here’s the meta, with the all new tier x tier list.

Hello,

timezone has been chosen for most of players on NA realm which are feel comfortable to play at this time period.

Block Quote

Also, why are the times different every (tourney) day?

Under this tournament, every team plays 2 matches per day. Just match after match.

If I may ask, which players did you ask for their time preference? In my clan, our preferred time is 9 PM EST. If 11 is the “comfortable” time, then why do regular tournaments start at 9?

Most of players play on UTC -7 timezone.

This is the time when all players already came back from work/school/university and have time to participate or watch how other players play. If we will shift the start time to 18:00 PM (UTC-7) we have risks that some of players who used to play from 19:00 - 20:00 UTC -7 may not a chance to participate.

I’d like to see your player location demographics. The East Coast and West Coast have the most population. The ideal time is 9:15 PM ET. It doesn’t go too late for Eastern Time, Central and Mtn. are good and Westerners can get home with about 45 minutes before battle. This is ideal. Your 11 PM ET start times are dumb and ill informed.

We started at 11PM EST....way too late....if it’s on a weekend the starting time should be earlier....Some of the better clans were unable to get 7 players. Please reconsider

OUR CALLER CANNOT CALL SINCE ITS TOO LATE FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY!!! WHAT? DOES THAT MEAN THAT PLAYERS ON THE WEST COAST GET AN ADVANTAGE???!! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS.

Unfortunately, it's so hard to choose time which will be comfortable for all players, because there is many different time zones in the North America. We tried to choose time which will be comfortable for the most part of players.

The normal workday on the west coast ends at 5pm (18:00 UTC -7) by choosing this time you have made it very difficult for any west coast players to make it.  This is why every time you make a poll about tournament times the majority chooses 19:00 UTC -7

You also make it incredibly difficult for East Coast players by making it at 11:30, especially on Sundays. For anybody with some semblence of a life, that is extremely difficult to do.
