Hey Ribble

There's a long time argument on the forums that MM makes games more difficult for players over a number of games.  The idea behind this is that MM looks at the skill of the players on the teams and puts higher-skilled players on the opposing team to make it harder for you to win.

There are other players who have read before that MM does NOT analyze player skill, but may in fact place you as low-tier to offer you a greater challenge in a certain percentage of games that you play.  In this scenario, MM remembers how often you are low tier / high tier and manipulates how often you are low or high tier.

Finally, there's those who believe that MM is entirely random, and that MM simply grabs you and your tank to make up the team needed at that very millisecond that MM starts building teams for the next match for which you're available.

Who's right, and who's buying the other guys a beer?  If you can answer this question, I will heartily thank you!

I'm going to love this answer, because either way we either smash the tin foil hat wearing morons or it shows that it takes skill to maintain a 60%+ WR over thousands of battles.

Mm analyzes your frustration with the game. It pushes you right up to the edge, then along with rng, suddenly gets one thinking that they actually might be good at this game. After youve taken back the pledge to “quit forever”, it slowly fills your tanking time with frustrating dread again. In that, the MM is absolutely constant.

WHO NEEDS ARTY WHEN YOU’VE GOT RNG TO MAGICALLY SCREW YOU?

Oh no, don’t let WG know you’ve figured their system out, they’ll change it for sure. :bajan:

both of those could happen at once. You seem to not get that those two things have nothing to do with each other. The so called tinfoil crowd doesn’t assume that the rigging favors certain players. We’ve been assuming that it treats all players the same, and that high WR players are better at overcoming the challenges it creates.

If it doesn't favor anyone THEN HOW IS IT RIGGED?

The word rigged is used to describe situations where unfair advantages are given to one side of a conflict.
2. Describes the side of the a conflict that holds an unfair advantage.

That's right on point, the question is becoming why do they do it? I'm 100% certain both RNG and MM are manipulated in some manner to affect the game's outcome super unitards don't notice as they are, well, super unitards but more average folks suffer at the hands of this warped system WG has.

The more time passes and the better I get the more I think it's some kind of difficulty setting that gets harder and harder the farther up you go.

Of course the unitards live up to the "tardus" in their name by insisting there is no such thing and RNG and MM is all random.

its not unfair. it is what it is. i have never said rigged myself. its weighted. skill is the deciding factor in all PvP games. what we are saying is there is no such thing as a totally random MM. in this type of game.

you should have another salt name for unicums, a unitard is a piece of clothing.

Great.  Now we're going to have 6 pages of arguing before Ribble even gets here with his coffee :sceptic:

The argument here is supported by no fact other than speculation. If I say there is an invincible refrigerator in the middle of the sun, nobody can disprove me because nobody can go there. But is it true? No. Same scenario, but more realistic here.
