Is this the best way forward to a better matchmaker?

Bigger platoons would impact battles to much. Imagine 3, 40%ers in newly bought 121B’s or 3, 70%ers in their best tank

But, this would ensure you could pick your team, have no AFKs, and no below 40%ers?

I think 3 way platoons would be good, but no more than 3

Even if platoons could be as large as 6 players, there would still be AFKs / 40%er's on most teams

Hmm, this had got to be a veritable magnum opus!  Days upon days of reading the forums and this has been lurking in every post about matchmaking.  I'm sure of it.  Pick your own teams and well fight against those who can't organize and they will suffer the consequences.  I'd think everyone would be happy.  Except, those who ride the coattails of others game after game.

I personally think there should be a 'no toons' option, so when playing solo one doesn't have to deal with it.  Yes it cuts both ways, i get that.  a good toon can now win 70% of the time...3+ player toons would simply dominate, so everyone would just go back to garage and start the next battle.

2 in a platoon is a flawed system that benefits the highest wr players the most becsuse you are always up against another platoon. Fact that better players platoon more than bad players so you u raise your chances of going against a better platoon Than yours . Imagine going against 3 pramo players ? I would think a 3 man pramo platoon would be in the 90% Wr area

It’s called tournaments.   Pick your own team and sign up.

This would be a lot better assuming the teams were larger, cuz 3 out of 7 makes up a large chunk of how the team performs

but 3 out of....day 10, wouldn’t unbalance the end result as greatly

that would be bad. For unicums, you can choose WN8 stat padding and go solo but lose winrate, or go winrate padding and lose WN8. No thank you.

Even 55-60% nubs like me can knock off 20+ game win streaks in the low and middle tiers in a two-player platoon. Zen (currently named ChokeMe_WhipMe something something) went 98/100 in a Luchs mostly platooned and IChangedMyNameToThis went 99/100 in a VK28.01 also with platoon help. With 3 guys, unicums would be looking at 100+ game win streaks. They would be too OP.

I have seen some COD clan players do the count to 3 and all 3 players click and get on the same battle. Some do it with 2 on a platoon and the third player click's at the same time. Have also seen 3 players not on a platoon and click at the same time and get on the same battle. Saw this on a cranky pants(cod) video where they were all talking to each other. It worked more than not. Sometimes the third guy would end up on the other side. Was fun to watch and it did help them in battle. I guess I am talking to pros that know all about this but it was new to me. Good tanking to you all.

the only way that works is a tank WR pool. then its not a random battle anymore. but it would be cool. better than anything they have going right now. but just 3 tooned players per side. the other 4 would still be tank WR pooled. again a cool concept. but it would have to  be a separate game.. and i know that wot-b already has this  type of game. but do they really use tank WR?

At least, it will resemble the actual meaning of "platoon" for a tank company.
