Has anyone else had problems with lag on pc lately?  Have been getting a lot of lag spikes where ping went from 90-120 up to 250+ only when the enemy is spotted.  Started happening around 1-2 months ago.

Here's a ping plotter to anyone who's willing to help:login.wotblitz.com.png

Yep. It usually spikes just when I turn a corner and spot 5 red round gun barrels.

Same here. I wonder if it has to do with the major power outages in Northern Virginia where the server is located

Weather events over this last weekend affecting the eastern US have definitely played a role in unstable connections. As of last night, Sunday, they seem to have cleared up for the most part, but spikes may still occur. So, yes, the power outages in many parts along the east coast played a large part in consistent game play.

Spikes are never fun to deal with. Be glad that your spikes look like the average ping for me here on the west coast. I couldn't play at all on Friday evening with ping in the 5-800 range, and it was hit and miss on Saturday. My average ping under ideal conditions is 90-120 when all connections in between are in good condition.

I think a lot of the problem with connecting to the Blitz server cluster is the route your packets take to get there.  I didn't notice anything different playing Blitz this weekend, and my packets travel from Vancouver to Montreal and south to the server.  That trip time has always been 90-110ms since I started playing Blitz in 2015.  There have been lots of other problem on the internet that have made Blitz hard to play, and this past summer something at WG's servers made the game impossible to play, but internet network conditions can play havoc on your ability to tank.

My poor 121B is the victim of the ping spike.  2 of the three games I played in it I spiked out leading my tank to yolo into the reds resulting in my unceremonious death.  This leads to crummy stats on the tank.  I sorta feel sad for it because it's otherwise a good tank.

4.7 update coincided with me putting my phone in for repair so I had my old phone going which was 2 incarnations better than the loaner they offered. I wasn't sure whether it was the phone or the game but this morning at 4am was the first time it has played faultless (don't ask). Gameplay is late to join battle, seemingly freeze frame issues and the old favourite complete meltdown when you start brawling so I have been playing secondary for the last week.

I tried to do a trace route but it would just say complete with 0 jumps.

the traceroute was to login.wotblitz.com, I assume this is still good?

Like I say it's a temp phone so I haven't loaded anything special.

It happens to me allot when I use my tablet. Ping is green in garage, then when I go into battle it’s around 500-600. Pretty frustrating.

Ah, yes, I did not consider this.   Just because I was lucky enough to not lose power and sit there playing WoTB after my 3-hour drive home in a blizzard-ish h*ll, I didn't consider the widespread carnage all around me and was freaking out about connection issues.   The tension was just egged on by getting raged at when I had zero control over my tank's movement.

It's a game, not a d!ck.   Don't take it so hard.
