An Honest Proposal on How to Improve World of Tanks Blitz
*This will be posted in both Suggestions and Feedback and General Discussion on the forums since everything in Suggestions and Feedback is skimmed over. Both will continue to be edited and improved upon. *
Keep in mind these are my own opinions and no one needs to get mega butt hurt. Also, some suggestions on topics I write about may have previously been brought up before this post and I’m not intentionally copying/taking. Still, not to say completely some topics didn’t give me ideas to write the same or build upon what someone else wrote. Also, the numbering of the suggestions below isn't related to each of their worth (least to greatest, etc). Personally, I really like all the suggestions made, but I like 14. as it is one of the closet to the XVM mod in PC World of Tanks. Thank you to HugGigolo for reminding me/telling on 1. Tutorial (A) about the Supremacy game mode tutorial (as I forgot to write about that) and the modification of 14. Improved Matchmaking of Players/Tanks.

Actual Suggestions Part
Hello, I’m HumanCoookie from NA server. Some of you probably know me from 1 one of my 2 rants on this game (other was deleted, not by me). Sometimes I get EXTREMELY frustrated at this game so that leads to those rants (horrid matching, bad teams, etc.). Anyway, I have made a list of suggestions that Wargaming will hopefully read and keep some of this in the back of their Wargaming-y mind.
1. **** Tutorial (A)
Spoiler
The current tutorial system is decent. Teaches a new player how to drive, use consumables, aim, and shoot stationary/moving targets. At least from what I remember a few years ago. Anyway, that’s great and all, but it could use some improvements. If you’ve played a lot of battles you can see how players, above tier 5, still drive, shoot, and aim as if they were new still. I’m sure many can relate when it’s some new player left to fight in the easiest 1 v 1 and still loses. I’ve had a full health, maxed out KV-4 lose to a 500 HP, T29. Frustrating, right? ****So please, like World of Warships Blitz, I really want to see a more in depth tutorial. The current one is fine, but after that, when a player buys their first tank of a new type (heavy, medium, etc.), a tutorial designed for that tank class should be appear. And I’m not talking once they buy a tier 2 medium and have a tutorial on that. Rather, a tank of that class in a suitable tier where it demonstrates that tank’s game play style. For example, a player buys their first heavy, then they will go to a tutorial designed for heavies. And they can select any heavy in the tech tree or use a random default heavy. That’s were they will learn how to play a heavy, the same concepts apply to the other tank classes with this idea. Also, a tutorial for the Supremacy game mode would be helpful instead of just the one sentence tips and tricks during battle on the loading up screen team line up screen. A tutorial for Supremacy with the tips and tricks would be the best option. To sum it all up, the current tutorial we have now, then once a player buys a new tank class, a tutorial for that chosen tank class will begin. Like World of the Warships Blitz. Also, a tutorial for the Supremacy game mode.
2. ** Contributors
Spoiler
I would like to see a “show off” section in WoTB. If any of you reading play Heroes and Generals you know that Reto has a news section on their website with community events, like RBS. They showcase Heroes and Generals YouTuber/community contributors’s creations. I would love to see something like that in Blitz. I rarely use their website, but I’m sure they don’t have that. Also, having that would really have Blitz YouTubers’ content exposed to more people which I’m sure they would really enjoy.
3. **** Tutorial (B)
Spoiler
This is another tutorial one. In the garage, a player, after completing the basic game tutorial is now learning the garage. At the end of the entire current tutorial, there can be some videos in the corner of the screen in the garage that teach players about certain things in WoTB. Maybe a playlist of tips and tutorials made from Wargaming (I really enjoy the tips and tricks videos from Wargaming NA PC YouTube channel) or by community contributors/WoTB YouTubers. Videos about what ammo types and when to use each type, how to earn credits and experience for tanks, and how to successfully win and become a good player. To motivate these new players to watching a playlist of extremely helpful videos, gold rewards or premium time certificates can be given. Possibly 10 gold per video or 5 pcs for 24 hour, 9 hour, or 1 hour premium time certificates.
4. **** BlitzStars Website
Spoiler
The creator of BlitzStars needs to be acknowledged by Wargaming. I’m not sure if the owner(s) of BlitzStars have been, but please, those creators of that website are absolutely amazing. Having their website on Wargaming’s front page is what I would like to see. (I don’t know if it is on WG’s website and I’m too lazy to check).
5. **** Rating Battles (A)
Spoiler
I personally like the concept of rating battles. One of my problems are the players. Most of them are so bad! And that’s why my proposed tutorial improvements will probably help, but that’s not what I wanted to write about. My big problem is the amount of new/bad players with premium tanks in rating. Not using a premium tank, a player must grind through tiers 1-7 (as well as max out their tier 7) to be able to participate in rating. They get a good grasp of the game and how it works with that grind of the tank line of their choice. Having a new player just finish the current tutorial and open up the tech tree to look at the tier 8 premiums and buying them is bad. All they have to do is buy a premium tier 7+ and they can cause havoc in rating. Now, I’m not entirely sure of all the restrictions on ratings, but I’m 80% sure that new players can do what I wrote above. There has to be restrictions on premium vehicles in rating. Such as maybe a minimum average damage in their premium tank and/or a minimum win rate. What needs to be 100% added is that a player must have a certain amount of battles on a premium tank to be able to enter it into rating. I’m thinking maybe 150-250+ battles with 49%+ WR along with at least 700 average damage.
6. — Tank Commander
Spoiler
Ability to toggle commander’s voice on/off. Possibly be able to change commander’s voice volume. The commander's voice gets annoying sometimes, especially in the anime tanks. Toggling commander on/off would be extremely helpful whenever I play in the tier 5 GuP tank, the Anko.
7. ** Replay Feature
Spoiler
This is probably really far fetched, but I personally would like a replay feature. To be able to save a replay of the match you fought. Where a save replay button is located on battle report. It doesn’t have to that complicated, just a recording of the battle. My iPad and some of my friend's devices in real life have become outdated after Apple’s decision to drop support for some older versions of iPad and iPhone models. Eventually this happens to all devices, but we weren’t able to obtain iOS 11 and it’s screen recording capabilities. This isn’t so much of a “need”, but it certainly would be a very useful feature.
8. **** Military Honor System
Spoiler
The purest form of trash known to Blitzers. This system is so useful, yet so useless. Helpful and nice to see how many stars a player has in game to determine their reliability, then again the system is broken, so bad players can have 5 stars with a minimal amount of complaints. First, AFKers, the game has to be smart enough to understand that when a player drives an extremely small distance, fires 0-2 shots, and the player in question has had previous AFKing down votes, that the player is AFK and 1 person can give a down vote and it will register. Rather than the usual 2-3 people giving same offense down vote, this would be amazing. Also, players with 5 stars should be given 5 complaints, but after every match it replenishes, like the praising system. The down votes have a high chance of not registering anyway, so why not give more. Gives the peace of mind that at least you gave the offender an (unregistered) down vote. Other than that, I’m at a loss at giving some more improvements.
9. — Mastery Badges
Spoiler
Mastery badges, they show if you are really a master (most times) of a certain tank. Like other badges were it says the quantity of the badge earned for a tank, I would like that for mastery awards. I’ve gotten maybe 20 masteries for T-44 and I would like others to see that when they check out my account.
10. **** Improved Matchmaking of Players/Tanks
Spoiler
OK, like actually though. This shouldn't be a problem, but apparently it is. As 2-5-18, I got into a match today where my ENTIRE team were 40%ers, I was the only person above 50%. Whereas the enemy team had 2 players above 60%, 4 players above 50%, and 1 player who had 40% win rate. That is honestly not cool, I like getting more damage and carrying hard, because better rewards post game. But that's too much, I can't do a 1 v 6 with 5 of my team and 1 of the enemy strolling around shooting the sky. Honestly, I don't get that annoyed by that, but that day crossed the line with an entire team of 40%ers vs mostly 50%+. I'm thinking a new matchmaking system where it balances teams with overall stats of a player's account (WN8), similar to rating battles how they balance teams on rating of each player, but not really. Specifically, the matchmaker would try to balance out teams a bit in terms of WR, overall average damage, average tank kills, etc. This system wouldn't completely balance out the teams to be a 50% chance of winning for both sides, but a better system that doesn't give an entire team of 40%ers to fight mostly 50% WR + players along with paper tanks vs. heavily armored tanks and TDs. This would be a big help, having somewhat better teams. And that brings me to my next point, a better tank balancing system. In tier 10 I've had teams of literally paper (Batchat, Grille, etc.) vs. super heavies. A more balanced system would be appreciated, but again, not giving each side a 50% of winning. At least a system that makes the battle fair enough where Team A won't have every tank on the team with less than 60mm of armor and Team B where each tank has triple amount the armor of Team A, possibly quadrupled, or at least something in public game that's close to this example. As for now, unfair tank line ups, coupled with the bad matching of players, tier 10 is more of difficulty to play than other tiers below it.
11. *** Rating Battles (B)
Spoiler
There needs to be something to make players want to play rating battles, also, a better player tier-ing system. Kind of like the one where players of similar rating fight each other, but the amount of the players in rating causes players in Diamond League to fight players with Bronze League. There could already be a system like this in place where Diamond League fights Diamond League and etc., but I have no idea if this does exist, but due to rating battles player count it forces matchmaking to do battles with, for example, Diamond League vs Gold League. So therefore, please, there needs to be something to entice more players to play rating, instead of the same 30-50 people playing it. Getting on the opposing team of a really good player more than once is kinda annoying. I like how right now there is a credit and experience boost, but there needs to be more. Such as possibly every time you do the best on your team you get pcs, which can be exchanged for premium time certificates, boosters, or gold certificates with enough of the pcs. And to limit people who farm rating from exchanging 24/7, all things exchangeable will cost more pcs to exchange and/or the effect/amount of the item being traded for will be reduced. For example, the gold certificate costs about 20 pcs to get, but the missions are rare. And in rating, it will cost maybe 30-40 pcs with the amount of gold being reduced by about 10-15 units. So gold received will be 85-90. But this still can also be farmed so to further reduce the amount of farming, a chance system can put in place.Say you win a rating battle and you come out on top, you can win either pcs belonging to gold and premium time certificates and boosters. Only one of the 3 will be chosen randomly to be given to the player. With more rewards to rating, the more people will be likely to join. Reducing the chance of fighting with/against the same player(s) a game in rating.
12. ** AI Battles
Spoiler
I would like to be able to test a new gun module or equipment piece(s) without the consequence of getting my team mad or sucking in a public game due to a tank modification. Like World of Warships Blitz, an AI battling system would cause so many +'s to it. Being able to test tank modifications without suffering the pain of public games. This would be better than a training room because you can't fight AIs in a training room currently nor can you actually find a training room where people are testing things together. All the rooms are just dating, chill, or runners vs rammers rooms. I sincerely thank everyone apart of the TRPD for their amazing work at limiting these rooms. But currently, you are forced to go club 20%ers in a dating training rooms to test tank modifications and then get called a "nub" by all the salty. As much fun as that is, it's not efficient in time as it takes at least 7-10 minutes in a training room from waiting in queue, to being put on a team, and then waiting some more for the room host. World of Warships Blitz is perfect in the way it has AI battles set up. You can earn credits and experience for ships (at a lower rate than public games) and it doesn't affect stats. Something like that in World of Tanks Blitz would be time efficient and provide quick feedback on testing tank modifications. And yes, I know what you are thinking. To stop credit and experience farming, nothingcan be earned or lost (credits, experience, etc.) in AI battles. Having this game mode to only to test tank modifications and possibly test skill against AI players. Having these type of battles reserved just for one player or having other players on the team, I will leave that up to you.
13. **** Damage Blocked
Spoiler
This is self explanatory, but like PC WoT, other players and I would really like to see how damage was blocked by us in a game. Ever had those games where it seems you bounced 20 shots and think you could've been killed 5x over with the amount of damage blocked? Yeah, same here. PLEASE, I cannot stress enough how much this simple feature would be loved by literally everyone playing WoTB.
14. **** Personal Player Categorization
Spoiler
OK, so as of 2/9/2018 I met a purposeful AFKer in tier 9. Almost 400+ down votes on AFKing which means to me that this player likes to AFK their way to tier 10 as their average damage was about 200 (from ramming probably). I was thinking that if I were to encounter this player again, I would like to put this player in a list created by myself. Kind of confusing, but I mean that after battle I can place any player from my battle onto lists that I can create. Certain lists will be specifically labeled with insignia's or colors to indicate something that I wanted that list to represent. So if a player is on my good player list which is labeled blue, once I see that player in battle again I will know he is a good player by the color blue next to their IGN over their tank and on team list. Hard to explain, but here is an example of what I mean. There is an extremely bad player, let's say Bob, on my team and we lose because of him. After battle on team results next to thumbs up or down button will be a "+" icon. Upon tapping/clicking on that, it takes me to a place where you can create a list for players you are adding to the lists. So I would create a new list called "Nubs" or something similar to that. Then I would choose from a wide variety from insignia's to colors to label the list. So once I put Bob in the list I made called Nubs and I choose the color dark red to label the list. If I were to ever get into another match with Bob, a dark red would appear next to his name on team list and his IGN over the top of his tank, as well on team results after the match and in chat, in game and in garage. That tells me that Bob is on my Nubs list and I shouldn't depend on him as much as my other teammates. This list function could be used for many different purposes, like labeling friends, good/bad players, and stuff like that. Though, I personally would use this for good/bad players.
15. *** "Are You Sure You Want to Proceed?" Buttons
Spoiler
Another self explanatory one, I would like to see more of the, "are you sure you want to do this?" pop ups when purchasing expensive items (tanks, bundles, crates, crew experience for crew skills, etc). As of 2/13/2018 I wanted to see how far I got on my completing my tier 7 camouflage skill so I opened it the page and the game didn't seem to have registered my click to I clicked again and it all of a sudden moved me to the experience bar line (the page I wanted) and that second click made me spend all of my credits, 4.5 million, on the skill, which I didn't even complete after that mistake. I got left with exactly 0 credits so that's fun; you can find my 2 posts about this somewhere in the General Discussion, but back to the main point. One of those "are you sure you want to do this?" buttons would be fantastic here. Those buttons are life savers, seeing more of them in WoTB would be great. And the crew skills experience part of the game needs it the most. Having one here and other places wouldn't be tedious at all, along with it and many other places are areas in the game where you make big purchases, not frequent purchases, so it wouldn't hinder players at all.
16. *** Spare Parts
Spoiler
A problem that currently seems to be unsolvable. Personally, I don't have many problems with this equipment system after it replaced the old one. This new system has some equipment pieces I absolutely adore, such as supercharged and HP/armor buff. And the old system had ones that I also adored that are now (kind of) gone, like vents (for all tanks, not just a certain class). I can live with how it currently set up, though. But my problem, along with many others, is getting the spare parts currency. One set of missions (3) doesn't give enough. Both sets possibly, but I don't feel like playing Blitz in the morning for the first set, especially since most people have work or school to deal with. And forget about the crates, they don't give enough either. There has to be a way to obtain more spare parts. More spare parts per mission and/or higher quantity of parts dropping in crates could be a possible solution. As well as watching ads for 500-750 parts. I'm sure other companies would like to have their ads on World of Tanks Blitz due to the game's high player base (all servers combined). Money for Wargaming to continue working and improving/adding to the game. I'd be fine with ads, as long as they aren't mandatory to watch, like other games. Higher spare parts received with boosters would also be nice. The current waiting time is a bit overkill (for high tiers), if the same amount of waiting time were to remain, at least two slots should be able to be researched at the same time (tiers 8-10). And if the waiting time was reduced, then the current one slot research feature would be fine.
17. **Highest Damage Recorded for Tanks as a Statistic
Spoiler
Having Blitz automatically record the highest damage game for a tank and placing it as a statistic would be phenomenal. The statistic would be placed with individual tank statistics. For example, my highest damage game in the T82 was 2,174 damage. So when I open my records and look at my T82 stats I see that 2,174 was my highest damage ever achieved in the T82. This is to prevent spending a lengthy amount of time searching through screenshots to see if the damage record for a certain tank was broken on BlitzStars. Also, making it easier to show off to friends the highest amount of damage for a tank rather than sending a screenshot to them over another program that's not WoTB.
18. --- Emblems on Tanks
Spoiler
A player's clan insignia being plastered onto any tank. There will be 3 places to places to place the insignia: The upper front hulls or either side of a turret (for non turreted tanks, either side of the upper superstructure). Only one place can be used and the price will be 1 million credits or 3,000 gold per tank. To simplify this, take [PRAMO]'s clan insignia into consideration. Their emblem will be able to be plastered onto a tank of their choice for the above listed prices. Imagine how amazing and terrifying to see their emblem coming straight at you. Anyway, this is to reduce every single player in battle from having their clan's insignia on their tank. That will make some feel the uniqueness of their tank to be not so great compared with others. For example, look at the Hammer camouflage for the 183. If everyone who owned the 183 bought the camouflage, no one would feel special or cool since no one's tank is unique to a player. If changing clans, all tanks with a clan emblem will automatically change to the current clan's insignia. For players who are clanless, basic emblems can be chosen. There will be no resupply costs. Bringing a little customization to the game, even if the customization is limited.
19. **** New Epic Medals
Spoiler
There aren't that many challenging medals in the game currently. The only ones that are kind of hard to accomplish, is the medal for 7 skills, which really is just based on timing and luck. Some other ones include the Fadin's Medal and the ones for killing an enemy with 3 + x modules damaged. A more challenging medal that relies on both luck and skill is needed. That one would include: Finishing top on experience and damage compared to both friendly and enemy teams, receiving 0 HP damage, blocking at least 750 HP worth of damage, and spotting at least 1 enemy. I don't think there is a historical tank ace that can be matched up to this, as the other medals have been. Therefore, this possibly could be considered an overall "mastery badge" for the overall account, not just for individual tanks. Another possible epic medal could be a 1 vs 4 + x. Medals for 1 v 4s, 1 v 5s, 1 v 6s, and the crown jewel: 1 v 7s. Though, a 1 vs 7 would be the most important and should really show off a player's skill. I've personally done this before once and would love to brag to others about it, with proof to back up my claims from an epic medal.
Well ThAt WaS COoL
Well, those were some ideas I had to improve this game. I will add more suggestions at later dates. Some suggestions currently here right now sound pretty useful and some are dumb. OK, bye.
*EDIT 1: Fixed some spelling/grammatical errors and insanely huge font size. 2/2/18
*EDIT 2: Fixed more spelling/grammatical errors and added another suggestion (9. Mastery Badges). 2/4/18
*EDIT 3: Adjusted font size and added more suggestions (12. AI Battles, 13. Damage Blocked, 10. Improved Matchmaking of Players/Tanks, and 11. Rating Battles (B) ). 2/5/18
*EDIT 4: Numbered suggestions (numbering doesn't equal suggestion's worth), edited some suggestion names, edited introduction, and added a suggestion (14. Personal Player Categorization). 2/10/18
*EDIT 5: Fixed even more grammatical errors as well as update the introduction and modified some suggestions. 1. Tutorial (A) and 10. Improved Matchmaking of Players/Tanks had parts of their contents modified thanks to HugGigolo's feedback! *EDIT 6: Edited the edit section and modified the title of this post. Also, a new suggestion was added (15. "Are You Sure You Want to Proceed?" Buttons) due to unwanted recent experiences. 2/14/18
*EDIT 7: Added a table of contents, added tags to post, changed font size of sub headings, fixed some grammatical errors, edited title of post, and added a new suggestion (16. Spare Parts). (Also, I pressed Ctrl+[random button] and something happened, so um... ignore any stuff that looks odd). 2/25/18
*EDIT 8: Added a new topic tag and suggestion (17. Highest Damage Recorded for Tanks as a Statistic). 3/7/18
*EDIT 9: Added new bold texts to some suggestions, changed font to Times New Roman, edited thread title, added spoilers to each suggestion, added some new suggestions (18. Emblems on Tanks and 19. New Epic Medals). 3/20/18
*EDIT 10: Added in a new spoiler (forgot to add to one), edited thread title, and added a new into to intro. 3/21/18

Yes, this is the same thread as the one on Suggestions and Feedback. I choose to post this here on General Discussion, as well since Suggestions and Feedback is really only skimmed over. Both will be updated and revised and both and neither one of the threads will be deleted (at least by me).

Improved Matchmaking should be called Rebalancing Players. In other words, If you're awful, you get rebalanced with good teammates. If you're great, you get rebalanced with bad teammates! New players who suck will be delighted to know it doesn't matter because they'll still get ~50% chance of winning. You know all those guides to improving that we all watch and read? Armour angling, map guides, knowing your role, blah blah blah blah. Get better and get..... rebalanced? Sounds compelling, I'll get right on that.
On the plus side, it does remove the incentive to upgrade, equip and provision our tanks. Why waste credits, spare parts and xp on stuff that doesn't get us up the tech tree when MM will recognize your improved performance and rebalance you? Remember 3.h8? 2.h8? We can put all that behind us as we run around in stock or near-stock tanks and it won't really matter. That's a win!
It wouldn't "completely balance" the teams? Sounds like the new game is not to "git gud," but to figure out the best ways to "hack" the matchmaker! We can all swap ideas and theories on how to win while flying under the matchmaker's radar. Bushka's videos can switch from showing off good gameplay ideas to exploiting the matchmaker's blind spots. And the best part is, the challenge will never end! WG will patch blind spots in their "smart" matchmaker and we'll have to find new ways to "hack" the system.
-------------------
Look, we all hate bad teams. This morning I had four battles in a row where my team died in the first 2-3 minutes and I wanted to throw my coffee at the wall. But random matchmaking is actually important. It's why Win Rate is a relevant stat (and why Rated battles don't affect WR). It's why we have Unicums in the first place. It's why we all work on improving our skill and our tanks to get better in the first place. You may have a point re: the tanks on each team, but player skill-based matchmaking for random battles will just introduce more problems that it fixes. Superficially it might feel better for awhile, but in the medium-long term it wouldn't be healthy for the game.

double posting is a violation of the forum rules
I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?
No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

Having balanced teams, such as everyone in a team had 50% WR, then everyone’s WR would be 50%. That would give a 50% chance of winning each game, that stops people from having 60%+WR. Somewhat balanced teams would allow that, and that was to make a point all 30%er teams vs all 50%er teams shouldn’t happen
