Which is the most stupid mission?

Was just reminded of how lame a lot of the missions are. It had been awhile, but today I got the one to kill two tanks in one battle.....with a light tank. In high tier.

This is exactly the problem with this game right now, WG encourages re-tarded game play. A light is not supposed to be a tank killer, that is exactly the wrong use of those tanks. Why not have me spot two tanks, that is teaching good resource use with a light.

What is your vote for lame missions? :child:

The mission that drives me batshit crazy is survive two non-penetrations and survive.

I drive around trying to get Leos to let go a blast at me.

Dumb.

Actually, I find the current missions to be fine. When missions were first introduced there were a TON of counter-win missions that were a joke. Toss in the removal of single-tier limitations and this has improved drastically since introduction.

The "capture two bases in one battle" is horrible if you're not on himmelsdorf or something. I failed badly many, many times because I was grinding for events.

Missions are easy now. Not sure what OP is having issues with? The only missions I tend not too like is the spot and kill ones. In my opinion it encourages Yolo behaviour. It explains a lot of the crazy moves by lights.  Other than that being able to complete a mission between tiers 5 and 10 makes it a lot better.

I find the ramming mission to be lame. Players don't need to be encouraged into rushing in and face hugging just to complete a mission. I could be wrong... just my opinion.

I think you might be right, sir. There are plenty of frustraing missions: survive and bounce two enemy shots, win three in a row or kill this many tank category and then MM puts them all on your teams. However, your mission suggestion just may be the dumbest mission. It pretty much encourages yolo’ing. You can at least argue that the frustrating missions are encouraging good gameplay.

All the missions are lame. Can I just play and have fun? I remember before spare parts where I could just ignore them, not anymore now you need to do them to get the crap spare parts. But of all the missions I despise the most are the supremacy missions that I get, that I never do, because I have it turned off permanently.

Any mission that requires winning 3 in a row and even 2 in a row.

I'm lucky to win 1 in a row

So, I’m not the only one who sees some of these as counter productive. I think I have been frustrated by all those mentioned above at one time or another, and have been guilty of noob gameplay just for the sake of completing one, like yoloing to spot or ram. :playing:

This mission is the only time I bring out my T1 Heavy anymore.

This one can be extremely frustrating. I try to win first in a tank that's not my best, then try to seal the deal in an old reliable, like the BDR or KV-1.

Ah, the days when you could ignore them! They would announce that you had accomplished a mission you didn't know you had!

Every time I get a “WIN THREE BATTLES IN A ROW” I instantly know RNG is gonna bend me over.

If I get the get a 1st class mastery or Ace then i KNOW i won't see one all day.. however, if I skip it i am virtually guaranteed I will get one the very next mission lol!

I always skip the Mastery and platoon missions. If I do that, I can usually hit all 3 missions within 3-5 games.  (Of course, teams/RNG will sometimes play a factor in the Win At All Costs mission.)

FWIW, I typically only use a handful of tanks to clear my missions - the Defender for most missions (incl. the bounce and ram missions), the Bromwell for supremacy cap and scouting missions, and the JP2 for sniping.

I rely more on RNG than skill for those missions.
