Not only that. In some Bushka videos, he's not only counting how many reds he has spotted, he is noticing which ones he has not yet seen, like the Death Star and Jageru at the back, and where he thinks they will be. So obviously pre-battle he is memorizing not only general tank types on each side and names/clans to watch out for, he remembers the exact tanks, at least the ones he is worried about. He wont make a risky move until he has located everyone he has marked pre-battle.

1 tank, 2 tanks, 3 tanks...... when do I get my  cookie?

! one of things that I am trying is to change the markers so only the red have the tier symbols. It makes it easier to get a count from the little white marker rather than all the other stuff.

1 little, 2 little, 3 little TD's.

4 little, 5, little, 6 little TD's.

7 little, 8 little 9 little TD's.

10 little, 11 little, 12 little TD's.

Typical Game in Blitz!

Sung to this melody...

Yes, you can all hate me when it's stuck in your head for the rest of the day...  Or whenever you press battle and see all the triangles...

Today I went to the bathroom and forgot my phone.

There are 256 tiles in the bathroom...

With practice it gets easy.

But you have to do the work, before it kicks in.

If you make yourself work on it every game the benefits are huge.

Before the game starts, study the red team with laser focus.

They only have seven tanks, it's not hard to remember what the seven tanks are.

You should take a quick glance at the players names and clans also and be able to recognize who the good ones are.

Once you see what the seven tanks, and sort them out by lights, meds, heavies, and tds you should ---depending on the map--- have a very good idea where they are going, and what tanks you should see first.

If they have TD's you should be making sure that you have reasonable cover at all times, so no unspotted TD's can one shot you.

You should be taking note of what red tanks have not been spotted and thinking about what that means.   Are they AFK?   Are they hiding in a spot to catch you in the open?

Work at it long enough and you should be able to know how a battle is going to unfold as soon as you see the tank lineup.

You need to retrain your muscle memory first. Best way is to identify one of the tips and focus on it until it becomes natural and then move to another.

Id suggest the following:

  1. Sniper Mode Zoom: Every time you fire in sniper mode zoom out on reload and look at the mini-map (It forces you to break your tunneling and look around).
  2. Lookout Bar Scan: after you have accomplished Sniper Mode Zoom, after you fire execute number 1 but add in a quick pan with your look out bar to review what is visible.
  3. Mini-Map Review: execute 1 and 2 but at the same time also look at the minimal to gauge what is visible.
  4. Number Game: before doing the above add in counting the type of tanks at the start. During the process of 1-3 also start to count what is left on the map and their position
  5. Red Indicators: as you get hit, look at the mini-map to gauge where the shots came from in relation to your tank and review what type you think it is based on what you counted and what you see.

After you have retrained yourself with the above you will now have better situational awareness.
