Here is a guide of the REAL RULES OF WOT:

(1) WIN RATIOS are an average of TEAM WINS vs losses, read TEAM. There are tons of over 50% WR players out there who just sit, hide, cower, and run and show their cannon when there’s nobody left to kill without firing a shot... That player still has a high WIN RATIO. So, next time someone scoffs at you because THEY have a 50% and you have a lowly 49% just laugh, that person platooned (emphasis on toon) their way to their WR. LOOK AT INDIVIDUAL STATS.

(2) Will all due respect, saying “I got my 60% in just 200 battles” is a crock, the 200 battles happened after having changed identities 200 times and playing a million games. LoL

(3) There is probably no way to measure how constant changes in game, version after version have affected new players’ ability to earn credits and get to high WR but I tend to imagine!

(4) When tanks vanish in front of you and WOT blames it on radar, then the enemy tank is still there! You just can’t shoot at it because... well, the radar says it isn’t there! Curiously enough, enemy tanks can still see YOU!

(5) I have over 12,000 battles, and I began doing stats for 1,000 of them - yes, I am that anal... Turns out that I end up in bottom tier slightly more than 50%, so it is statistically negligible. BUT, some tanks automatically end up in lowest tiers a higher percentage of the time - so if you get that shiny brute premium tank hoping to wreak havock on poor newbs, I am sorry to say, YOU will likely end up surrounded by impenetrable beasts who will tear you an orifice.

(6) On the same count, however I did find a stat that was NOT negligible - the amount of times I end up in teams where opponents have more than 30% higher WR than the one I am in. Yes, I went tank by tank more than 200 times (told you I was anal) and added WR divided by the number of tanks in each team and, lo and behold, more than 60% of the time I am stuck with teams with lower WR average.

WHY ME, you may ask? Well, cause I spend money, and trying to get to that elusive WR takes a lot of it, and WOT enjoys my money, sooo, why not build in a little trick into the algorhytm?

NOTE: If you have a 48.5 WR player up against a 50% WR one, the actual difference is enormous as:

(7) The higher your WR gets, the tougher it gets to raise it, no matter what tank or tier you use to do so. I play from tier 8 to tier 3, and in the latter, I end up in more tier 4 battles with worst teams than in upper tiers with no special tank! So in the past two months, grinding has become harder and harder the bettrer I get.

(8) WOT customer service is, for lack of a better word, useless in most cases - most gripes you may have with nasty players insulting you and so on require you to do a screen cap at the precise moment the insult/attack/misbehavior occurred... which, on an IPad, is nearly impossible to do without getting shot or going offline (and WOT bloody well knows that).

Sooo, now that you have the ability to record gameplay on the iPad you can go back to your video, put it in pause, and do a screen cap. Then push 200 inane web client buttons, and fill out a form that requires you to have memorized the player’s name - as in Player_39877845989q28779390103883####@092b [somedumbclan]. Or go back and forth from your screen cap to the form, and back, and forth, and... you get it.

(9) When WOT finally answers, they will say something like, “we will deal with it someday, have a nice one!” : P

(10) If you come accross a Leopard (tier V) RUN AWAY, its the nastiest overall tank in the game and, in good player’s hands YOU WILL BE KILLED. Just saying...

(11) You WILL get ADDICTED TO THE GAME ANYWAY, regardless of how unfair, unbalanced, and ruthlessly malevolent the game makers are - so think of it like going into the casino - you will lose your shirt but you will go on and on until you lose your pants as well.

(12) to those who say you can play without spending a dime, I agree, you actually spend hundreds of dollars!

(13) nuff said.

On item 4. You can still shoot the tank, in the blind. If you finish it off you’ll see the dead icon show up. Or, shoot and note next time thier spotted they have lost hp if you hit. :playing:

If only PRAMO players listened to this guy’s preaching, they’d be unstoppable. Mike, raikkonen, take notes!

I like number 7. For me though it feels as if some individual tanks get preferred tier in battle. While others get the other end of the stick. I don’t actually track it but it feels that way

Tier 7 is usually bottom tier simply because of the large number of tier 8 tanks, especially good premiums, that everyone has. Tier 9—same thing; tier X provides a different atmosphere that many enjoy, and so there will always be more tier X tanks in the queue.

So ther are no tanks that get preferential tier? Serious question because it does feel that way. For instance I just played, I don’t know, 50-60 battles in the Hetzer. It felt like maybe 2/3 were high tier. While the Russian tier 4 TD felt more low tier, American tier 4 TD kind of even.

There are tanks that get preferential MM. I think the only one left is the Pz. B2, but previously, for example, the IS-6 also had preferential MM. But nothing you research on the tech tree has it.

I just left myself a note on the b2. I’ll need to revisit after grinding TD skills. Thanks for the info.

1) See, I don't think you understand the difference between actually LISTING things and numbering paragraphs.

2) Or how to make a point.

The point is, it is a PARODY, sarcastic humor if you will, so the very idea if a list is joke, professor! The point is, the game is NOT fair but we all carry on playing it just because it IS addictive. It would be nicer if it was a bit more fair, if the matchmaking was an honest attempt by WOT to even the field instead of padding their bank accounts! But we are hooked, so the money piles up!

Ever notice when you face a weak tank and hit it with all you’ve got, nothing happens to it? So you buy it and enemy spits at you (with saliva) and it blows up? Nothing to do with angling or any of that crap btw... lol

WAIT! I HAVE TO REVISE RULE 13!

(13) [or numbered paragraph for language purists] THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL! (which perhaps should really be rule 8B?

I have stated that if you have a complaint against a fellow player, it is nearly impossible to report them... see rule 8.

BUT if YOU should be reported for what some player deems to be abusive behavior, usually calling them a moron in the heat of battle for... well... acting stupidly and ruining your Win Ratio with a senless loss (see rule 1)

IT WILL TAKE LESS THAN 10 SECONDS FLAT FOR SAID SENSITIVE USER TO DO ALL THAT WOT REQUIRES AND GET YOU PENALIZED!

Amazing computer systems they must have to record the exchange, fill out the exceedingly complicated form WOT provides, and log the complaint to which WOT responds at lightning speed! It ME about three days to get any kind of answer from WOT, so how can this happen?

And, to make matters sillier, I have a filter for only playing against people with... iPads (or handheld devices). So it seems a cinch for some other mo[LETTER “R” DELETED TO AVOID BEING PENALIZED]on to report ME in 10 seconds... Any adice on how to do that eill be appreciated!

UPDATE: Since being penalized for adressing my teammates as m[BANNED], I cannot communicate, EVEN USING THE AUTOMATED COM SYSTEM - no SOS, ATTACK, HOLD POSITION, NOTHING. It gets worse! If I try to use those, the TANK FREEZES, making me vulnerable to attack (specially during the SOS call for help phase).

But here’s the kicker - every single battle after said “punishment” has either been bottom tier or so lopsided as to having milked my credits in the thousands, regardless of tank. Now I dont remember the rules stating WOT would penalize me by ripping me off or was that in the privacy statemen that nobody reads?

EVEN FUNNIER is the fact that, just as I wrote a rant to WOT for said “punishment,” guess what? I got a message in my garage using exactly the same words I got “punished” for... Did WOT do anything about it? Did they answerr in less than 10 seconds after my complaint as they did when someone complained about me?

You KNOW the answer! You are psychic!
