Why are you using the 122mm?

The ISU is an inflextible tank. It has poor mobility, which means it can’t keep an enemy in its sights like the Comet. Because it’s most suited for the peek-a-boom role, higher alpha is far superior to unusable DPM.

Always use the BL-10 152mm or the Derp Gun.

you’re better off using the stock 152 and spamming HEAT rounds if you’re grinding

Grind your way to the BL-10 gun by using the derp gun.

Derp gun: spam HE and HEAT. Don't even bother with AP. Just keep on playing games with it until you get the BL-10.

You have to use the BL-10  or the 152 mm howitzer. It has a terrible HP pool and low armor; keep the tank hidden and do not play aggressive. If you are careful with the tank, it can be extremely rewarding. If you want to play a bit more aggressively, you can follow the heavy tanks around and pop out when the enemy is reloading (but I wouldn't suggest this all the time).
