You’re busy today...

Nonetheless, the AC 46 is very similar to the other Tier VII French machine, the AMX M4 45. It’s not...bad. Just disappointing. Now if you e played that far into the line of French’s TDs you’ll know by now that that is the theme with French TDs...disappointment. The top 100mm gun is solid, it’s basically a non-autoloading version of the gun on the AMX 50 100. Pen is good for the Tier, Damage is average. The gun is very very good. The tank itself? Not so much. It’s very big for one. The massive profile means hiding isn’t much of an option. The frontal armor is surprisingly decent, if a bit inconsistent. More problematic is the big cupola weakpoint on top of the tank, which is an easy pen for even Tier VI tanks. And it’s a big target. It is set to one side, so you can use corners to hide it, but in hilly areas you height and that weakpoint will lead to all sorts of problems.

All in all, it’s not a bad tank. However be advised that the French TDs from the S35 dont really get good again until the Foch at Tier IX. The Tier VIII is ok. The AC 46? Well, if you managed to suffer through the ARL V39, the worst is over.
