...Well sorta, I've noticed that the lower skill players have been doing this weird thing where when they fire off a shot and you are about to end their misery, they raise there gun straight into the air.

 

I get sometimes there is nothing you can do, but I have seen full health enemies give into 2 low health allies and just raise there guns straight up and do nothing.

 

I know some players did this way back when but it seems to be growing in popularity. Is there a reason for this?

I do it to troll people sometimes... will get the 2 low health people to rush me thinking I’ve given up and then it takes about .5 seconds to return my gun

Stupid is as stupid does I guess.  With so many nooobs idiots out there these days, who knows.  It is accepted in the military that a tank w/ a rear facing gun raised is a sign of surrender for a tank.  Of course, we Americans have never surrendered our tanks so maybe this is more a French thing, lol

I do it when I know for sure there is no way I can survive and my gun is reloading. Also I sometimes try to use my gun to block the enemy from shooting my cupola while I reload when I facehug people, but that is different.

Well.  There was this one game where I was 2 v many as a 1-hit and my teammate was not even close to me... but the ‘many’ were.  I got my shot in and raised my gun as a solute to my pending death and a funny thing happened.  Each of the many thought that another of the many would finish me so they all ran off to hunt my teammate.  Leaving me alive with a single red 1-hit tank who bounced me.

Now... I’d like to say I won but that’s not what happened.  I did kill that one red but the many eventually overwhelmed me after killing my teammate.  I was able to get more damage in, though!

I encountered this phenomenon occasionally and I always thought it was a gesture of u know what finger!

When the situation goes wrong and my team die, i run to water and commit suicide but everybody give me thumbs down when i do it...

Guess when you get so much practice dying at the end of a match you might as well do something .  Absolutely the stupidest thing I see on this game.  Ninety five percent of people won't follow a call (winning strategy) but most have picked up on this stupid concept.

so you are doing the same thing that arty does in woT PC and gets yelled at a LOT for doing and think it's ok???
