So I finally got it mounted and had it running for the first time ever. Too soon to really judge it so I'll do a follow up and most likely add a recording after the break in period. So far it needs adjustments and little work put on it. For instance, fuel leaks from the shutoff valve. Going to put gasket sealer on it where it goes into the tank and putting a hose clamp where the fuel line goes on the valve.
Everywhere I looked online; everybody says it runs a crap ton better after its break in period. Going to get mag wheels to replace the stock ones because where the sprocket clamps onto the spokes...the mag wheels has no spokes, instead it has these metal "fin like" ones. And they're overall alot more durable.
UPDATE TIME: ok so its been a bit, about halfway through break in and from what I can tell; its pretty reliable. Sure given its only 48cc that it doesnt like hills much so you'll have to help the motor by pedaling. Overall the motor is down right reliable enough to get around with.
Of course I still going to get the mag wheels for it since my spokes causes the sprocket to never be centered or completely true. Going with an aftermarket exaughst and adding a boost bottle to boost it's efficiency. If my forks allow it, disk brakes.
One problem which most can avoid is that right now; the bolts that attach the universal mount to the motor has vibrated loose and can make my spark plug wire come off. Thread locker is highly recommended. I'm going to do that until one day I go to my aunt's and have those bolts welded on so that they can never vibrate loose again.
So yea, its a fun, reliable motor unless you raw dog the [edited]out of it.
Oh yea, also replacing that junk spring tensioner with a sping assisted one that goes on the motor.
EDIT: one thing to note...to have the motor last a long time; its recommend to use pure gas in the fuel mixture instead of ethanol gas.
