you can find our discord server link by clicking the picture above.

Ever wanted to be a part of AIM TRUE?

Then message an officer to start recruitment!

AIM TRUE is a former legacy clan that has been revived and given a second chance at competition.  At STR8, we develop a family of skilled individuals and encourage a diverse community of players.  At the end of the day, we want to bond with the players and enjoy the game, but make no mistake that we are results oriented.  We at STR8, hope to see you join our group and help our organization grow, as well as find opportunity for personal improvement as a player.  More detailed information regarding our recruitment process can be found below.  Before you read further, we want to thank you for taking interest in AIM TRUE.

Our requirements are not hard, fast rules and do not automatically guarantee admission.  However, meeting these expectations before you join AIM TRUE will strongly bolster the strength of your application.  We seek solid, active players just as much as good people.

Requirements

You will go through an indefinite recruiting process should we choose to welcome you.  This is done primarily to see how you fit in with the clan.  The recruitment process can last anywhere from a few days, to a couple weeks depending on various factors of your application (statistics, previous clan history, etc).  During this time, we would like you to take this time to platoon with established members, preferably officers.  You will also be asked a small set of questions for the purpose of gauging where you might fit into our clan mold and if you would be a good fit in general.

Addendums To STR8

If you remember the STR8 family in its first iteration, I'm sure you will notice some changes.  I'd like to discuss that now and explain why we are deciding to do certain things differently.  This is to help answer questions for people that ask "why do you do this?"

- One, single clan.  This has been done to prevent miscommunication within a clan family.  A single clan allows for better organization and more focus to be given to its members.  There is also a safety measure taken with this change.  The last time a feeder for STR8 was created, it tried to split off into its own clan.  A single clan appears more unified and is easier to keep control of.

- Two tournament teams.  Before, STR8 was always known to have one tournament team per clan in the family. Since there is only a single clan that represents AIM TRUE, I thought it would be best to have the second tournament team move here.  This has been changed to make sure all our competitive players are kept in one place as previous feeder actives did not justify making a whole new clan, but rather a second team would make more sense.  Cutting the scrap from the second clan and taking the tournament team from the feeder allows us to watch the growth of both teams more closely and create a closer sense of internal competition.

- Changes in recruitment requirements.  Originally STR8 used the holistic STAR1 metric to assess the ability of players.  With the removal of the STAR1 metric and the supporting website, we have adopted more modern recruiting metrics such as win ratio and average damage to gauge the ability of players.  STR8 used to require  smaller, more meticulous metrics to be met.  However, we have qualified all those metrics by saying that "...all other stats should be at healthy, respectable levels."

- Discord activity is a requirement.  This change was made to help strengthen clan communication and to develop internal relationships between members.  It also allows the clan to keep better track of all members and their activity levels.

There's no underscore in the logo picture, 2/10 stars, would not recommend.

It’s still STR8, only reason we have an underscore is because WG doesn’t allow you to reuse disbanded clan tags

If you contact Wargaming and bug them enough, you can eventually get the clan tag back. We had to do that with MOM2 - Full Metal M.O.M which had the tag lead mutiny, leave the club, and rename it. We now have a technically new clan with an old name. A number of old forumers would recognize the name of that lead, too.

Maybe Ribble could help with that? Not sure.

How long did that take you?  Was this during when WG customer support was still in NA?

I am now the #1 ranked E75 on the NA server!

I'll ask Rick, he's the one who pulled it. The API says Monday, February 29, 2016.

I ask because I talked to Ribble about this a few months ago and he said they have to clear the old name database for those names to be used again.  Thanks for finding out.

I am now the #1 ranked E75 on the NA server!

this isn’t true. The most iconic name in NA ever was Krieg and no matter how many times we ask, we can’t get it back

I mean, we literally did it, but if you want to be that way about it and say it's impossible, go right ahead.

Just for clarification, both clan ID #12377 (Current MOM2) and clan ID #2184 (Current US-1) bore the tag [MOM2] at separate times.
