Where is it posted that it even has a 152mm gun? I only see a 52mm gun as posted here: http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/weapons_T49_57mm_GMC.html

 

interwebs usually only pulls WG articles of course.

They should give the T49 a derp gun with guided missiles. Then move it a tier lower. That would balance it. 

Nah but seriously, it's pretty weak as where it is right now. I don't have the tank but I can see that it isn't how it once was when it was released. After the nerfs, it's bad. I would suggest a buff to the reload or a change to the ammunition/penetration. Having both might bring it back to the glory days of when it was released.

Wrong T49.

The T49 we have in game was a M41 bulldog test bed for the 152mm gun system that was later used on the Sheridan light tank.

Pfft. Not true again. It is not the same as getting shot by a TD. Unlike TDs, Light tanks have the speed and camo to pop pretty much anywhere on the map at any time. Getting behind the reds is their job. It’s why people love them. And there are tons of yoloing hp trading noobs out there willing to sacrifice huge chunks of their HP just to get one shot off in a drive by. It’s a bad trade on their part, but not much you can do about it. Holler at me in a couple years when you have more than 2 purple tanks above tier 5 and a little more game knowledge.

    (HEAT does work on the M46 Patton front though much to their horror) 

Other than non Russian lights (and German paper TD’s) - your left with doing 200’ish dmg for a 16 Second reload to most tanks that can give you 400-500 in return.  Unless you get behind them - and even then HE pen is troll - you may get a glorious 650 and fire, or you may get a very disappointing low 100 (or worse) IF you hit.   

 

Tank is crazy fun, but far from OP.

it's OP when facing slow tanks, just look at sk8xtrem's video, but otherwise it'S just A ok light tank that specialises in taking out other lights

If anything, they need to make the HE not premium rounds. It's completely bogus how expensive they are, and they're not even up to the standard of HEP. Both the black dog and Ru get nearly 25mm more penetration on their HEP, and they don't go bankrupt if it doesn't pen.

It would be interesting to see the missile tank successfully implemented.  The way they did before, it was silly op.  However, you do bring up an interesting point if they could do it successfully.

I think it needs a minor buff.  

   However the limit to three heavies a side in 5.1 will likely cure the IS spam issues.
