The wallet got closed permanently after 3.8. It doesn't matter to me what WG does to any individual tank.

Firstly WG has always reserved the right to buff or nerf PREMIUM tanks for balance.

It’s in the EULA (both old and new).

That said WG generally doesn’t nerf premium tanks due to the fact they don’t want to get into issues with folks claiming bait and switch.

As it hurts future premium sales.

As for enriched v premium nomenclature, WG has always promised no premiums above tier 8.  I see the ‘enriched’ moniker as simply a way to get by their longstanding commitment to no release premiums in 9-10.  It is simple semantics.

However certain recent premium and enriched tanks have been released with specific statements that due to limited testing conducted that those tanks may receive alterations (nerf/buff) after for game balance.

Lastly it it was a crate tank.

   You gambled on it.

So sympathy levels are nil sorry.

1) Tier 10 cannot have unnerfable tanks because a single OP $ tank - especially one bought with two taps - severely damages and discredits all game modes. Nevermind the WG disclaimer about possible nerfs (How could anyone miss it? Do you regularly spend hundreds of dollars without reading? If yes, why get upset?), there is sound logic here. Choosing to spend/waste $ on gambling doesn't entitle you to ruin the game.

2) If you look at the broken tanks in Blitz - Ke Ni Otsu, Dracula, Helsing - they weren't cash grabs. They were mistakes. Tanks that weren't tested, typing errors, etc. While there are OP tanks offered in game, there's very little effort to capitalize on them by WG: removing the Shinobi from the tech tree and selling it for more $ than a normal tier 5, valuing the Type 62 the same as the Type 59, giving out the B2 to noobs so they start strongly... very lowkey, no P2W.

3) Mk6 is a strong tank. It would have been used in Seattle Mobile Masters if not for the WG prohibition. Unlike WZ-121 and FV4202 which weren't used at all. How strong is too strong in P2W context when the tank is only available to big spenders and is in the top tier of all gameplay modes? I think that WG must err on the side of caution. Past mistakes in lower tiers shouldn't - and hopefully won't - cloud WG's judgment in the same way they have skewed the expectations of some here. T10 cannot be P2W on any level. M60, 121B, Mk6, AMX30B and their successors as $ tier 10s cannot skew the tier 10 ecosystem, they cannot be the meta tanks.

My follow up on that is to ask what makes tear 10 so much more special than tiers 7-8 which are quite ruined?

And they did sell the Dracula during the last blitz fair, for no small amount of money.

So Mike, are you saying those Tier X $ tanks have become or would become the meta? As far as I can see, they’re not producing crazy results for people like the Otsu or Halloween tanks are relative to tier. If the concern is ruining competitive play, they just need to be banned from that venue, which is fine. On the other hand, it’s not like tier X pub games are well balanced or fulfilling right now anyway, so a slightly above average $ tank isn’t going to ruin things there.

This game's developers and the vast majority of its population consider tier 10 to be much more special than tier 7. I have zero interest in debating why that is the case.

Selling the Dracula once a year in limited quantities hardly falls under hardcore p2w monetization.

I never said those tanks are becoming the meta, what a bizarre reading...

As to the other points:

1) Since KNO & Co. cannot be nerfed it's entirely unimportant just how game breaking they are. They're not the standard by which non-premium tanks should be judged as too strong and needing of a nerf.

2) Tiers 3-8 are less important than Tiers 9-10 and thus there is more wiggle room with the balance.

3) Banning these tanks, retroactively, from competitive play is illegal/impossible. There was no disclaimer saying "these tanks may be banned from tournaments". It's one thing to ban them at an offline but as an in game good - no.

4) Tier 10 is much better balanced than the rest of Blitz - it has to be, because if there is an imbalance there, the players will catch on to it quickly and abuse it in a way that isn't possible in tier 7.

For the record, I’m not arguing that premiums or enriched should be unnerfable. I’m just confused why the Chieftain is deemed in need of a nerf, but I guess we’ll have to wait to see what kind of change WG wants to make (gun handling?).
