There’s a great many legitimate complaints we can make about WG but this isn’t one. They have consistently and explicitly pointed out that “permanently enriched” tanks may be nerfed like any other. This has been their line since the Kpf-70 showed up. If you didn’t know that by now you weren’t paying attention.

^^

WoT blitz is better than WoT PC imho because no arty and +/- 1 mm.

Given the disclaimer they've been putting on newly introduced premiums/enriched/whatever tanks (that they might adjust them in the interest of balance), I  don't see a nerf to the Mk6 as cause for riot.

Okay, my bad if I missed the disclaimer during the event. It still won’t make the pill taste any better, and for me, would be the last pill.

is there any actual difference between a premium and enriched, other than what WG calls it? It ain’t tech, you gotta pay $$$...  Feels like meaningless legalese.

You were first informed of a possible Chieftain Mk6 nerf in the news article adrvertising its sale.

Which tank was banned from being used in the Seattle Mobile Masters? You have one guess.

Interesting, I am assuming it was banned because it was a crate tank and not because it is OP. I am guessing the M60 is also banned?

Off topic question, Do you have to drive your garage tanks in the tourney's or do you have special access to all the tech tree tanks?

I'm interested in the answer too, Sabot... hopefully Mike will answer the question.

Perhaps WG only wanted to showcase tech tree tanks.  I can hardly believe WG were tacitly saying the Chieftain is OP.

If they nerf this tank, then they must also nerf the Helsing by driving a mulch fork through each Helsing driver’s pancreas. That would suit me fine.

This tank being nurfed is not the worst thing in the world.  How about the time when they switched to +1/-1 and took away preferred MM for a bunch of tanks.  Now all the old school IS-6 drivers see a ton more tier 9 than what was promised when they bought the tank early on.  That is a huge difference for a tank.  Guaranteed top tier and now it is just like any other tank.  That sucked.  That still did not stop me from enjoying the game so I have not and will not "close" my wallet.

I hear tell of a possible mk 6 nerf. After it being a #$&# crate tank in the first place, I would consider this a betrayal of trust of the first order. WG would never get another cent from me.  Ever.

You?

They literally said it on the news page that it wasn’t a premium, you bought the crates as if the tank was a premium and it was invincible to the wargaming nerf hammer. Your fault for not reading the small print mai doggie.

In reality, I think wargaming has to suck it up and begin adjusting some premiums down. Multiple tiers are effectively ruined because of a few ridiculously unbalanced tanks that they stated they will never touch. They are constantly messing with tanks at tier eight, when the real problem is about a half dozen Soviet premium fantasy wagons. If they brought the entire tech tree bottom up to compensate, The balance with every other tier is simply thrown off, leading to a rippling cascade of sadness and horror.

All they would need to offer to end any complaints is a limited time straight same value gold refund after any patch in which one of those tanks was nerfed. They wouldn’t lose any money because real currency has already been exchanged for in game currency.

However, my bet would be any such implementation would wind up at some cockamamie half value or less refund and then explain how you should be happy to get it.

Great idea but they didn’t come up with it so I won’t get my hopes up.

File a complaint with the iTunes store to get your money back  They claim disclaimer I claim WG has had a practice since day one of not nerfing premium tanks and I relied on that practice when I bought it.  My guess is iTunes will give you a refund.  They did it during the Fearless fiasco.

That's exactly why they stopped selling new premiums as "premiums" and instead call them "enriched," even though they are for all intents and purposes "premiums" other than what they're called.

It's like that old joke of the string that was refused service at a bar that said "no strings allowed"... he went into the parking lot, tied himself into a big surgeon's knot, and frayed up his ends.  The barkeep asked "hey, aren't you a string?"

The string says "no, I'm a frayed knot."

WG's just playing word games, when they just need to sack up and alter their policy with proper and fair compensation.  Alas, they have no sack.

Not sticking up for a clan mate just bc he is a clan mate but a lot of people do not study this game, I had no idea about the difference between a premium and enriched tank (seems like semantics to me ) a lot of people have bought crates (me included) and my wallet has been closed for the last few crates and will remain closed but I closed it bc they sold my crate tsnk in the store like 2 months after it was in the crate so I don’t see the hostility towards someone buying a crate , not understanding enriched vs premium and just being a tool about to someone esp when they help support the game.

With that hat said thank you to the people who explained the difference between enriched and premium tsnks that did it with some class  and not like a tool.

Interesting vote tally. To be honest, the bad taste from the crates alone might have weaned me from $$$, anyway.

I bought 4 121 B crates a while ago bc then crates were new and I didn't know what evil I was buying. I got the 121B, and never bought any crates again. Recently I opened my wallet again bc of the new gold prices and got the t34 Independence and free XPd the rhm. Now I'm pretty sure I have what I want. I probably won't be making any more purchases for a while. Especially not if they are just gonna nerf my purchase anyway. It's not getting what I paid for. If they wanna nerf the mk6, fine, do it, but give all of the players of it a full refund and let them keep the tank, like WG did with the 8,8(probably under legal pressure bc 8,8 was so bad).

If WG does nerf another premium without refund, My wallet is sealed, if it wasn't before.

Why does the Chieftain need nerfing? It’s fine as-is.

Currently Grinding: T54E1, M103, WZ-120, WZ 111 1-4, Foch, T95

Tech Tree Lines Completed: 20/26

I closed my wallet to crates from the start after seeing too many people get burned. But I’m still willing to spend occasionally for real know-what-I’m-buying stuff.
