So I played a match on mines in my is4, my team spawned on the south side, everything seemed normal until everyone but me and the 183 yolo'd over the hill and instantly got slaughtered. So I had just witnessed an eastern front reenactment.

The pressure got so much heavier, and I'm wondering what I should do since I don't have sufficient gun depression to go hull down.

I only got one shot in before shortly being raided and vaporized afterward. What should I do next time I find myself in a situation like this? Happy tanking, o7.

Eat more chocolate.

I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

If you had the 183 behind you, looking over your shoulder, push up to one of the rocks on the crest of the hill, so that you can proximity spot.

I ask myself the same question when I am in a Tier X game that unfolds like that.

Then I decide Tier X just isn't my thing, and I play what I enjoy.

Is tier X different from any other tier?  I either go up the hill on the far right or left (spawn doesn’t matter).

On the side closer to the center hill, the rock at the top provides cover from the big gun tds (or heavies or meds or lights) camped on the spawn hill.

On the side away from the center hill, there’s a rock outcropping that provides protection from both the spawn hill and tanks trying to go up the hill (if you get there fast enough).

The side closer to the hill tends to get congested so I usually try the opposite side.  I play some poor depression tanks that play OK against those plying up on the hill.  I never expose to the rear hill.  It’s just too risky.  If I have to get on the ridge line to get a shot off, it isn’t worth it.   Just be patient and stay down.

My IS4 hasn’t seen Mines map in quite some time.  Hrm.

Is yours a tier X?

Step 1: Lay down on the floor.

Step 2: Try not to cry.

Step 3: Cry. A lot.

I was first going to suggest sniping, as it's an IS-4, but thought better of it.

In a situation like that, I am going to try and bait them to come over or around if I can. I may not win or survive against a swarm, but I will try and bait them if I can. Red will be hesitant to come over the top with a 183 in the back, so my head would be on a swivel watching for a flanking move. Then I would try and work around firing lanes of wherever the green 183 may be at the time. As the timer gets closer, they should become more anxious or willing to commit letting us do what we can.

Do you only can put one shot? LOL

What about go to a training room and LEARN the map before of go into battle and ruin the battle for the rest of your team? In that way you can learn where part of the map you can use the tank with no gun depression, where you can pop up and shot...

In that hill there's a zone close to the river and lighthouse where you can stay safe and shot behind a rock, the other side, close to the enter of the mine is more for tanks with gun depression... And check your mini map all the time.

Saludos desde Perú!

Did you even read the post you quoted? What you just said really has little to do with the situation.
