I've had the AC 4 for a while now, and it's been collecting dust in the garage until today because it's its birthday. It took me 5 games to get a win in it! I thought that was really strange, so out of curiosity I checked the stats. I have an extremely low 39 percent winrate in this thing! Keep in mind that I have almost a 62 percent winrate average.

Am I doing something wrong? I have a 1,300 damage average in the tank though. Do any of you have the same issue with this tank?

Its easy to use, is a medium tank support, i use to help TDs or heavies, you can kill 1-2 maybe 3 enemies, and deal many damage, you only need practice, and avoid fight alone against VK-2.

Do you mean the tier 4 or the tier 6? The tier 4 is basically a more mobile Matilda, while the tier 6 is a budget Cromwell, I feel like the tier 6 should get the 17 pdr it has on PC

I'm talking about the tier 6. It plays a lot like a Firefly, but it's just worse somehow and I don't know why.

I see some people do great in it, (not me, I'm only 50%) but to me it seems pretty much a vanilla tank.

He said the AC IV Sentinel which is the tier 6

Its basically a vanilla gorilla, with decent hull and turret armor, decent speed, and a fairly reliable though not very sparkly gun - try to be hull down and pick fights - you can bully some tanks smaller than you but some matchups will relegate you to the support role

WoT blitz is better than WoT PC imho because no arty and +/- 1 mm.

The AC IV is basically a budget Cromwell that had a child with a budget Easy Eight. It has the good top speed of a Cromwell, but the Easy Eights abysmal power/weight ratio. It has the penetration numbers of a Cromwell, but lacks the Easy Eight's amazing gun handling and spectacular Gun Depression. It has an armor profile very similar to the Easy Eight. The main differences being the strange and unreliable angles all over the AC, and its much smaller gun shield, and of course the addition of one illustrious reproductive organ.

I like it OK. It has nice armor and gun depression. The mobility is decent. It just has a slower RoF than the standard tier 6 medium tank 75mm gun.

Over all the tank encompasses the kind of playstyle of an Easy 8, but lacks the gun flexibility to preform it as well. Alternatively its far too slow to ever preform the Cromwell's job. Basically just play it as you would an Easy Eight, except that it can pen stuff and go reasonably fast in a straight line.

It’s probably just me, but the armor gives me fits.

Any time I get in a postion to trade damage with it, I get wiped out because a couple of my shots get eaten by the armor.

the tier 6 is called the AC4 Experimental, not just the AC4, that’s why I asked to clarify since he did not include the experimental at the end

If you stay hull down and keep the gun just high enough over mound etc the turret top bounces a surprising number of shots on the AC IV.

It's terrain resistances suck. I've never looked them up but you can tell as soon as you are on soil or sand.

I'm suspicious the AC IV's gun handling is a little better than the garage specs.

When fully aimed in, it will hit surprisingly small areas of cupolas, track sprockets etc from long distances.

It's a pretty good sniper.

I thought the other AC was the AC-1?

Its nothing to brag about.  Definitely not a bad tank, as it does have some armor and the gun is far from even slightly bad.  But once you taste the nitro of the Bromwell, the AC just doesn't feel as good.

It is super-bland and has a large butt. I'd pass on it. I can't recall when I last drove it even as a mere curiosity. I just take the Crommie out instead.

I'm 62% in the ACIV Sentinel, FWIW.

I got it for free in a crate and don’t like it. The Bromwell is way better and way more fun, as is the (-o-) fighter. I even think they the somewhat powercrept Victory is still way better and certainly makes more credits. The Problem with a mediocre Tier 6 medium like the Sentinel is that there are just so many better options around.

LOL. You posted before this about the gun that Blitz did not get. This is why the "Experimental" is only used for the name of the tank on PC, not here.

I remember enjoying that tank so decided to look it up on tank compare. Wow it's a bad tank on paper.

Compared to the Tie Fighter, Fury, Victory and CromB it's only better than the Victory in gun stats.

Armor wise it's only beaten by the Tie Fighter. Overall a mediocre medium but one I still enjoyed.

I've enjoyed it, it's a bit sluggish and underwhelming, but, can be surprising in the right spots.

This is the conclusion I've come to. Question is, do I want to keep playing it to get the WR over 40%? It's just shameful and embarrassing! I'll try playing it more like a Sherman E8 as someone else suggested.
