Hello Fellow Tankers,

 

Wanted to throw a query out there, as to how many people have seen this.

Over the course of the game I have noticed that people on low health generally seem to get extremely troll armor. This isn't just one way; I was in a SP I C and recieved a Tiger II shell up my [edited]... which bounced. He was like, "hacker..."

I've noticed it when shooting at reds. I can't count the number of times in my Crusader when I've been taking shot after shot at a clueless red's rear and suddenly the last two shots which would have finished him bounce.

Is this an inbuilt mechanic to give people another chance, or what??

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I have noticed that for me the killshot seems to bounce at a much higher rate than the rest of my shots, so yes.

me too. I bounced off a one shot RU 251 in my T49...

Helsing, bouncing both shots on side of Sentinel, roughly 90 degree angle, 5 yards, neither tank moving, top that.

Part of this could be due to the killshot's significance. I conjecture we don't care about a troll bounce on a non-kill-shot, because it isn't a big deal usually; but if a killshot, which could alter the game significantly, bounces, then we remember and notice the repercussions as well as the actual bounce, leading to longer retention and clearer recall of that event than any other bounce.

While I can't say I've experienced this phenomena when shooting at tanks, I've had it when being shot at. Things like bouncing an FV215B 183's HESH shell off the gun barrel of a Leopard PT A, or catching not one, not two, but 5 separate 150mm+ HE shells in the gun barrel of a Grille 15. Btw that's 4,800 damage; more than the PC Maus has for HP. Everyone was like "Holy crap what the hell."

Some shots bounce due to extreme angles, if a shell cannot overmatch it will bounce regardless of whether it hits the weakest part of the armor or the strongest.

Sometimes it doesn't even bounces but rather gets absorbed by spaced armor like tracks, but WG has yet to implement audio feedback for those particular events.

Its not rigged, its RNG at its finest.

Bushka's Hafen stream failed because of his connection..

 

When they moved to Chicago, they added a massive smoothing setting to the timing algorithm. It's broken af and from the southeast I get out of range ping 10 seconds out of every 30. My packet losses are in the 90% range but tanks never fly...

 

I land shots and get messages 8 times in a match. I get out of match.. zero damage. I brawl and mive under enemy gun, take easy side shot. Bounces off absolutely grey armor at 90°.

 

I filed tickets. They stopped answering. NA is a guinea pig right now. They are trying to go to $1 a day hosting. This is the issue with all the WTH bouncing and your stats sliding down a hole.


I don't go town and I won't go down so WarGaming is just ******* with me when they built a town on a hill.

I traded replays with several reds the other night. Their replays absolutely did not reflect my replays. That's a fact, it's jack't.
