Which way should I go? I am at M3 Lee and am wondering if I should go with the T1 Heavy or to go with the M4 and get the Jumbo and go from there.

I’d go for the Jumbo. The T1 and M6 are both mediocre at best.

I would go for the T1 and M6 because the T1 is super good at tier the M6 is kinda mah but go for the T1 just because it's super good and you can use it to put all the kv1 spam in its place

Either is fine, if you have an idea of how the lines play differently. I went the T1 route. T1 is good IMO. M6 is good, but KV-2 is a thing... But the Sherman route is also good.

I would go the T1, M6 route.  That way you will have access to the 90mm gun on the T29 to start instead of grinding it out with the 76mm from the Jumbo.

as you can see people have a lot of different opinions but I would say it you had to take just one pace of advice take what old said

My opinion has now changed—but in all fairness, you do not have the M4 or Jumbo.

The Jumbo is good fun but the M6 makes the T29 grind easier.

So after a bit of deciding, I went with the M4 Sherman. The bonus of an easier grind for T29 was tempting, but I heard way to many ugly things about the T1 heavy line. I. Absolutely. Love. The. M4. I love it so much I already almost have the jumbo; only 5k exp left after this post

you should go back and get the T1 after a bit and see how you like it

i have checked the T29 in the tech tree and the 90mm M3 gun is already unlocked... am I missing something?

Do you have the Wildcat or Jackson? Those will unlock the 90 mm. T1 is my winningest tank ever. It has good dpm for the tier, decent speed for a heavy and just crushes other tanks when you ram them, such fun.
