I tried to dash ram a amx 12 t in my rudy but only did a meager 16 damage (was in range).... yet a VK 30.01P dash rammed my box tank for over 600 damage.... why?

Because the tank dash doesn't really boost your speed, it makes the tank's timeline go faster. Sort of.
Which is also why it has an infinite ammount of downforce when using the move, or else you would go flying by hitting it at mere angles.
You just move faster while preserving the force of impact you would have if the dash never happened.

I played TDs before it was cool. It was also never cool to begin with.

I don't think that's true I Aloha Snackbar'd an IS5 in my t43 with the boost and did 800 dmg, you can use it up ramps to fly in the air too. In oasis spawn there's a ramp guaranteed to make you fly 10m in the air if you use it, I do it every game for fun lol. Also you can make tanks do a 360 if you hit them at the edge while they're parallel.

thats odd.... whenever I use the boost on a ramp it immediately stops after exiting ramp

It doesn't work on some of them you need a steep one, the steeper the higher your air.
