... playing makes me seasick- the point of view keeps drifting away (usually to the right) and will not "look" to where my gun is pointing. it does that in a floaty manner and is very annoying. if a turn the turret it might or might not align with the gun... it might stay put or it might drift away immediately...

anybody experience this?

thank you

There is something called turret traverse. The gun doesn’t aim automatically where you look as there is a slight delay.

After 20k battles I think I have an idea about turret traverse... the problem is that lets say the turret points forward and you are moving forward. Swipe with your right hand (normal layout) to the right to move the field of view say 90 degrees to the right. Then wait for the turret to catch up and for you to see the aiming circle... worked like a charm on my old phone (7 plus). On the new one you do that and as soon as you let go with your right thumb the view drifts smoothly but decisively quickly back to the left and stays there... it is like the turret view dictates your view and not the other way around.

Mad Games has been making me dizzy. A lot of fun though for the amount I’ve been playing. I think it’s the fast pace and crazy tank mods.

no. it is free from work. i think it cost $1400, but i never saw the bill

i do like it, but compared to my old 7 plus i do not see any difference in speed or quality of graphics. camera is supposed to be better (dunno).

i think if the tech- savvy user like me cannot recognize the superiority of the new phone compared to a 2-3 year old phone - apple is doomed. the only thing left are fanboys, but as the price climbs to stupid levels those will leave the ship too.

I agree, but like your situation, for some people their work provides the phone. In my wife's job they provide the phones, replacing them every two years. And because of their add on in house apps, they require Apple phones. I wonder how many of Apple phone sales are purchased under similar circumstances.

apple's corporate support is pathetic. apple has never been geared towards large businesses and has no supporting infrastructure for that. my graphic design dept is all macs- about 200 units. one broke down and is still under warranty - they called apple and inquired about repairs - apple's answer? "take the laptop to the nearest apple store".... what? this is a joke. no on-site repairs, no on-site replacements. this is not going to go well for them.

I agree here too. As those new phone prices rise into that $14-1500 level, they'll be taking a hard look at the expense of using only Apple phones. Corporate cost cutting will always win out.
